as a medic I can confirm we always get random crits with the ubersaw, this bug is confirmed and is one of the many bugs that need patched (just in case: this is a JOKE)
@@revisellxit's not unrealistic. I could see Soldier caring about the briefcase. It's usually deemed "unrealistic" because of the characterisation given by the fanbase
Not really, if you are ever in a situation where you need to actually fight head-on as spy, then you should switch to your revolver which is much stronger than your knife in that situation
@tknotts7631 It did the animation of a normal knife stab, not a backstab animation. To my knowledge Spy's knife can't random crit, but what we're being shown on the video, sure seems like it's supposed to be a random crit
Fun fact: at the very start of Team Fortress 2's release, friendly fire was a thing. That is why you see soldier blowing friendly spy's head off here, because it was a feature.
Damn I could not imagine that actually. Pyro setting his whole team on fire spy checking, turrets destroying teamates in a fight while trying to shoot the person they are fighting, crockets accidentally blowing up your team as you rocket jump out of spawn, demoman spawn killing his own team and getting kicked for it. The way tf2 is played seems like playing a game back then would be IMPOSSIBLE.
You can actually still enable friendly fire using the command mp_friendlyfire 1. However, some weapons do not inflict friendly fire, such as -Pyro’s flamethrower -Sniper’s rifle -many sidegrade weapons. There’s also a few weapons with conditional friendly fire. -Soldier’s rockets and Demo’s grenades cannot direct hit teammates, but they can deal splash damage. -Spy can hit friendlies with his melee, but not backstabs -Scout’s sandman ball cannot hit friendlies, but the bat itself can. My theory is that these weapons are all exempt from friendly fire because they use projectiles, and the friendly fire mechanic (at least as it appears in the final game) was just a default source engine feature that wouldn’t have implementations for such a thing, since it was intended for conventional first person shooters such as CS:GO. The only wrench in my theory is the sniper rifle, which doesn’t seem like it would be a projectile weapon (but maybe I am wrong). As a last point, I don’t know if kill taunts affect teammates because I’ve never tried. I will leave that as an exercise to the reader.
1:45 as a engineer fan i can say 2 things 1. The original scene is impossible 2. The spy is literally a flash if he can zap the sentry without his detection
Only problem is soldier and heavy only turned around when they heard right behind you, when they would've turned around when they heard the cloaking sound. Still hilarious though.
Ironically while this is more realistic to the game it can be argued that the meet the spy video is more acurate to how efficiently the spy could do his job. Quite the contrast between lore accurate spy and game accurate spy
2:43 if this were realistic: 1. They would have killed him immediately after hearing the uncloak sound. 2. He would have just backstabbed them both without saying anything.
@@SunaSonmez-yf3ks I'd say it's more like the other mercs can't use different class weapons because of their knowledge and handling of the weapons. Like how in this cinematic Spy pretended like he couldn't use the knife to sell it.
@@MikhailMateo-sj1yi They can go invisible, they can disguise. But, they sure fail to act the part. Like, if you're gonna disguise, you're gonna have to act it too. Most Spies I played with in TF2 failed to act the part.
What's most ironic is that, based on how spy works, you don't need to drop the disguise to stab someone. It gets dropped automatically when you attack.
To be fair, sidestep-backstabing is a thing, and is pretty much what he does with the sniper. Medics do tend to get melee crit often tough. The sentry part would make more sense in the original if he was disguised before ssapping it, or came from behind a corner before it could turn around. As for touching the briefcase, he would pick it up while disguised only before the update that disabled it. Soldier killing his own spy can happen in friendly fire-enabled maps. And finally, he could get a quick backstab in one of them at the end, but would 100% die to the other one. Everything else, yep.
I recently discover this series of your channel and its very fun haha, im going to see the others one too and i hope you still continuing with this, grest job!
If it were realistic some random pyro would kick in the door of the room and spray everything with ZERO consequences and burn the spy. Every. Single. Time.
2:15 I enjoy how you depict Soldier as a moronic gun nut, shooting the same target despite evidence pointing to the contrary, just like how the Soldier act, I believe.
If it were realistic, soldier wouldn't be able to see, spy's disguises wouldn't function, heavy's gun would likely jamn soldier's rocket launcher would explode in his hands, spy wou...
Fun fact: the red spy tried to be surprised but actually not being surprised of scout founding out his mother having s*x with red spy but someone caught him having s*x with scout’s mother
0:35 about yahimaice's ytp scout being marked in red once he touched the suitcase, is probably one of the most excepted yet unexcepted things that caught me off guard
Always found it amusing how his meet video portrayed Spy as a master of close quarters combat when his melee outside of backstabs and trickstabs is the worst in the game by far.
