Please only send campaigns on the verge of defeat or battles you can't win. Auto resolve wins won't be accepted. Modded campaigns are not currently accepted. Please only send campaigns/battles on large or ultra unit scale. Normal and small unit scale will not be accepted. Not currently accepting Realm of Chaos campaigns/battles.

You can't blame the autoresolve, it doesn't take into account the fact that you 'need' to keep every single one of your units alive. I'm sure it could've been easier if you were willing to lose a few units.

Yes, on forest maps you can split enemy forces if you are willing to sacrifice a couple of units of low tier melee infantry

Autoresolve also tends to overestimate some stats in favour of the others, so wood elves are often "underpowered" in autoresolve because they have less armor than other factions.

yeah the auto resolve is completely busted right now, there are so many battles that I could never win myself (possible skill issue), and times where I have a full stack of top tier units losing against a stack of clan rats in auto resolve.

auto resolve is busted lol I had a completely fresh count noctulis + 11 units run into just a t3 high elf minor settlement w/ defenses and auto resolve blessed me with a pyrrhic victory

Well, in his recent videos it seems abundantly obvious VH battle difficulty borks the AI at least somewhat compared to Normal. Do you play on Normal? Because that might be why. Normal AI tends to rush right at you and cares little about skirmishers or distractions unless there's a good percentage of your units doing it. On VH, a single flyer lord can disrupt the entire army.

I sometimes think that too. I try to do what legend does, hide my units and harass with single entities. The AI does not care, it will keep moving ignoring the damage and searching the forests. The AI i fight also always has tons of cav and doggos, so it would have immediately rushed that arty

He definitely does it’s a joke in IE. He tried attacking on my Kislev campaign marched through everything and came straight at me like a homing missile. Luckily I had a semi-decent army to stop him nearby

Legend, I read CA's response to the Price increase and I fully understand why you left the creator program. That was not even a tone deaf but an outright insulting response to the fans that boiled down to "lol sounds like a you problem" and "you better support it or we stop making it" not even trying to sell us or anything, just outright hostile against the community.

Out of all the wood elves, Durthu is the one I hate the most, because he'll roll out with a legion of elf infantry to wreck your anti-large, and then you've still got him to deal with.

I had a Be'lakor campaign (I know) where I "Nothing personal kid"-ed Drycha and then Durthu's AI went: "I must go my planet needs me" and carved a river of blood through the entire empire and turned up south of Kislev. **Visible Confusion Eschews** . Then he just handed me 10k in post battle loot and mysteriously disappeared...

The AI is at its best when it doesnt need the I in the AI. any faction you can just throw in and dish out of immense amount of damage in short period of time is the factions the AI doing its best with. these are factions like greenskins and wood elfs. with greenskins they can just hit the greentide on the enemy like a hand of god and watch entities die, while with wood elfs, you throw their monsters into melee and get their archers fire support.

For me, being less gifted with micro, I feel the AI skaven with mixed army is up there with most dangerous armies to fight against. Your concentration goes for few seconds and the warp-throwers have made a hole in your frontline. Or backline is half-dead because you were too slow to respond to clanrat summon. That's where you have to think about army composition. Artillery, archers? You must dedicate one or few infantry to babysit them. Only fast strong frontline? Run the rats down and don't worry about anything else.

I think it is somewhere around 50% or so for missile infantry and around 80-90% for artillery.

Problems with Durthu and his treemen? Hellblaster volley guns, handgunners and huntsmen are the solution. All he can do is overcasting a flock of doom and then he gets deleted (I'm palying WH2 btw).

The auto resolve favors player a lot, except when you are playing N'kari. You get valiant defeat on fights that should be a stomp. When you play it down you barely lose 10, but it was a valiant defeat on auto resolve. It just doesn't work very well, does it? Better example is, when you get decisive defeat on auto resolve, fight it manually and come out as heroic victory, barely losing 100 units. I didn't do any cheesy thing, i just played the faction as you supposed to, running circles around the enemy.

All Slaanesh units other than chaos warriors and chosen are very squishy and have no survivability, autoresolve hates that

It's because Slaanesh has next to no armour. Auto-resolve is very biased towards armoured units, that's why Dwarfs get overly favourable results as well.

Wood elves as demonstrated in this video are awful in auto resolve too. Hawkrider doomstacks for example are incredibly strong and can beat pretty much anything the ai will ever have in manual resolve but cant even auto resolve minor settlements a lot of the time. Leads to a very painful campaign almost entirely made up of completely trivial battles.

Yeah durthu way too agressive in wh3, I fought him many times around Ekrund in the badlands with Astragoth when I reached that part of the map, he had a small empire out there lol. Isolationist must have gone through the window when they took an old version of wh2 to make IE wh3 game… on the looong list of things to fix I guess 🤷🏼 Praying devs will at some point, but it’s an other subject. 😒 GG legend ,tough fight, always with WE in Athel Loren.

As legend mentioned, they are deliberately programmed to act like drooling window lickers that don't know what their bows are for when faced with single entities. That seems to have been a deliberate choice so whether they will change it is unclear.
