Short little cover of Playing God by Polyphia, I had some fun figuring harmonies to add to the guitar solo, as well as just making up some of my own random stuff. Pretty fun song to use as a backing track to solo over lol.

Honestly man I don’t do a lot of mixing. Mostly has to do with a few things: 1. Mic, and mic placement (just depends on the kind of mic) 2. Interface - I use an Apollo twin. 3. Plugs - in the universe audio console I just use a compressor and an eq 4. In the actual mixing I’ll maybe add a bit of eq, and possibly more compression if it needs. That’s it! I’d say if you have good recording technique the mixing will be easy

first of all, love your playing, very precise and i like your timings, second, i don't think the melodies groove with the song in some parts, but some other parts they do! Maybe the scale is not 100% in the original melody scale, or harmonic whatever it's called

This is such a crazy idea for a cover. It totally makes sense but it's still a crazy concept to even pull it off, making an original track that's on par with the original song and also accompanies it/sounds natural that is. It's so good when it's done well like this, I'm just imagine all the possibilities for covers like this. Hopefully it isn't a one off (an ABC 3rd guitar cover would be wild hehe ;).
