Just received a bottle of 40 Knots and I honestly don’t know how anyone couldn’t like it. It’s so good and has excellent performance. I can only imagine that a lot of people don’t like it because they go into it with different note expectations, understandably. Great juice!
I don't think you're in the minority. Most people I know that have had it get that strange moth ball/baby wipe opening. As much as I loved the dry down the opening killed the fragrance and I sold it. Very similar sentiments across the 20+ people I know have tried it. This was well before Justin got a bottle so I assure you it's not just hating on something cuz a reviewer liked it. @spinQubit
40 knots is such a beautiful fragrance. The only portion I don't like is the far dry down when it's 8 hours in, to me at that point smells too woody and nothing going on. Prior to that 👌

I just got 40 Knots in last week and have been really enjoying it. It's complex and multi-faceted, but at the same time balanced and smooth. Definitely has a very luxurious vibe to it, but I also don't feel like you have to dress it up too much if you go easy with it.
Now I know I can trust Grace’s nose for fragrance since she rated 40 knots the highest! At the moment, it is one of my favorite scents to wear since it is just so interesting!!! It has a good silage and great longevity.

I'm with Justin on 40 Knots. I got it because I love aquatic fragrances and was surprised that it's not very aquatic at all... I still like it a lot though. I'll probably buy a full bottle
Just got Ganymede and Fougere d'Argent off your recommendation. Man these 2 are just something else. Fougere d'Argent is such a massive step up from Beau de Jour.
I just don’t get the aquatic comments about 40 knots from lots of reviewers so I was shocked when I first smelt this but after a few wearings I like this a lot , classy.

I'm really interested in 40Knots, it has been on my list for a long time but since you recommended this i'm more eager to try it. Unfortunately I couldn't find a sample in my area. Btw did you try it again? Is the dry down similar to Enigma?
all I got from 40 knots was baby wipes ... I wanted to love it, but I couldn't shake the association. Fortunately I only sampled it and was able to swap it with someone.
Love auod lemon mint, the initial spray is a little intense up close couldn't agree more. Such a unique and alluring scent. Any chance you have the new Elysium eau intense on your radar to try and review? Myself and I'm sure others would be curious bout that one:)

ahahahaha i have this decant of wanderlust and i feel Grace's impression so much xD wet paper xD so good. Wanderlust is german for the joy of hiking by the way. Still the scent is definitely not one of my favs

Much of the cooling freshness comes from mint in the heart. It’s not on Fragrantica, but it’s on Mancera’s website. And the lemon, albeit sweet and almost candied, is there. Still need to try Lemon Line.
@@stayfreshproductions I tried them both. At leat for me I dont get mint, or at least the mint Id want from a fresh lemon-mint fragrance. Lemon line has no mint but the lemon is much more pronounced and realistic, not sweet, you can almost taste it
Wow…. My wife said the same thing about beach hut man that Grace did about Wunderlust… But she said she got a rotten peach fruit vibe with a weird old book smell.. I told her that she has the nose of a barbarian and to pound sand…
