1:18:25 for some reason it never occurs to me that anyone has a middle name until they reveal it. so you can imagine the shock. i don't know why. i have a middle name. everyone in my family has a middle name. i tend to assume it's the default and yet i also assume if i haven't heard it that it simply doesn't exist. so every time someone tells me their middle name im like "???? you have more name?? your name has more in it??? fucked up if true"
My and my ex-wife, current friend, are trying to get divorced, and we noticed that in the divorce process we're allowed a free name change, but not just like last names or whatever, but we can literally change anything about our names. I'm considering adding a couple more middle names to my collection.
This game for sure has a learning curve, and it can be frustrating to watch new players. I must say you guys did better than most i have seen at remembering to pin most things. I did think it was funny that you got 30 lock picks and then got to the locked office and went, this is a dead end. I watched someone who tried to fill out the killers name manually, because they did not pin their birth certificate to the case board, they spelled the name wrong, then turned it in and got a big darksouls "case unsolved". and another killer goes free due to bad paperwork.
As someone who loves The Yellow Wallpaper, I'd like to point out that the wallpaper just flavored the crazy, rather than causing it, and yeah, the story somehow made the word creeping feel creepy
in addition, it's less that the wallpaper is yellow and more the maddening pattern on it that is focused on as the problem. of course it's also an ugly yellow, that is noted repeatedly, the thing that goes wild is the pattern. so even if it were not a condition the woman was already afflicted with, the regular yellow wallpaper in their detective's office would not constitute a cause for madness. tho the reference was funny either way AND it led to Julia learning about an incredible story!

Right before the ads/subs at ~ 42:36 Julia pulls out the fingerprint scanner and it's running in the game the whole ad read. This is only notable because it makes an buzz that sounds like a bad audio connection. I wasn't paying full attention and missed when she equipped it, so I didn't know if my headphones were going bad or what. 😅
Love how this game's aesthetic is just minecraft with real nice shaders, I bet with enough decorative and additional building blocks mods I could literally recreate the map in a minecraft world

To be fair, disagreeing with he judges on MasterChef is very easy to do - especially since the producers focus more on the food porn aspect of the show than the actual competition or the food... Because some of the crimes against food that are used as the final dishes each season make me cry at how terrible they are.
I usually don't even notice it since I'm in the mid south myself, but Jacob's undifferentiated soft e/soft i is fucking killing me in this episode with the frequent pin board discussion.

It’s legitimately like eating perfume but somehow really good. Unfortunately i dont think that sells it but id recommend eating one if you ever get the chance!
I just looked them up actually to find a better description of their taste and one is “tastes like a nice-smelling shop” lol. On the other hand though, apparently they’re included in a disgusting food museum in Sweden, so definitely not for everyone 😆
0:01 my absolute fav intro of all mf time. nobody will ever understand just how much I love this one, in its entirety. I’ve fallen asleep to this stream and the Terranil ep countless times and every time it’s pure untarnished joy. (unlike elden ring, which is, of course, tarnished but still infinitely joyous) the voices, the bits, the stories, the references, everything. If I ever get on any competitive show I will definitely disagree with the judges, bc I don't enjoy those kinds of competitions very much, so if I'm there its gotta be despite every attempt not to be, plus, it'd be really nice to see those judges being contradicted [edited for clarity]
The way I remember which cat is which is as follows: their white fur = joy and their dark fur = olives. Olive has dark fur on both eyes (more olives) and Joy has dark fur on only one eye (less olives more joy) so both kitties have olive and joy fur, but Joy has more joy and Olive has more olives. This only works when I can see their faces tho
