If There's A World War 3, It'll Start Here 🇵🇭🇺🇸 (

If you were to travel to this small part of the world, a sea filled mostly with reefs and rocks, you'd unknowingly have a front row seat to the world's next great conflict. The Philippines have at various times been in conflict with both the United States and China, but they're starting to side with one over the other. There's some big reasons for that.
I traveled to Subic Bay, a former US naval base located on the west coast of Luzon, to see what the story was. Along the way I'd also travel down the Bataan peninsula, a place where the last World War took place. Maybe there was something we could all learn.

You should occasionally show maps in your videos. For example I'd love to be able to visualize where that peninsula was. You don't have to go crazy, just a simple image displayed for a few seconds over part of the screen would be really appreciated. Loved the video regardless. The Philippines is an amazing country.

I absolutely love the Philippines, it's people , and the culture. Live there for 4 years but had to leave due to medical issues. I lived up in San Jose del Monte for about 8 months . Did the Pilgrimage for Easter to the Church of the Grotto. Lived down in General Santos city for about the same time. Then I met a girl from Cebu and moved to Negros Oriental around the Dumaguete area where I spent the rest of the time and got married in Cebu where my now wife's family lives. Oh how we miss being home. I consider the Philippines home now because I was treated better there than any place in my life even with my own family that are all mostly dead or estranged !!! It's the place of dreams❤️🙏🇵🇭. Like you, I hope and pray they don't get caught up in the craziness between China and America. The Chinese do treat the fisherman there very badly .

Subic City was fun, but Olangapo was where it allllll happened! Once you left the base and crossed the bridge over $h1t river the fun began! A mile and a half of bars three high on both sides of the street. There was always a standing dare to cherry boys to drink one drink in each bar from the bridge all the way up Magsaysay blvd and back. There’s good reason why the military left. Personally, I believe the Filipino people are better off without American military presence. Such occurrences that used to take place; throwing pisos into $h1t river to watch the kids dive for them, I guarantee that the bar fine girls are much less present, and the slums I see are a mere shadow of their former selves. One of my favorite haunts back in the day was a little place called The Freak’s Stagger Inn. Cross the bridge, down Magsaysay blvd to the fire station and hook a left and stop at the Diamond Bar, then on down two blocks on the right. Used to be a ‘48 Harley sitting in the window. My father was a paratrooper that dropped in to rescue the survivors of the Bataan march. Story goes that when the Marines got there the paratroopers had already been and left.

Several survivors where interviewed about their experience. Most said it was luck and the will to survive that got them thru it. One found a hat to wear to reduce the chance of heatstroke, one guy secretly dranked a can of condensed milk on the march ,another said he was wearing a new pair of socks. If you went all the way down to Mariveles from Subic, you should've visited the Mt. Samat war memorial from Highway 302. Cabcaben would have been the best vantage point for Corregidor and that's where there are small boats that cross the North Channel to the island. That's from where the Japanese launched wave after wave of invaders but were cut down by Corregidor's heroic coastal defenses between Infantry Point and North Point below the Kindley airfield at the "tail" of the tadpole-shaped island before the island fell on May 6, 1942. I spent some 8 years running adventure tours on Corregidor in the 1990s and developed a deep love and appreciation for the island's place in history. I remember designing up to 24 kms. of hiking trails based on a 1938 engineering map of the island given by a veteran that reflected what was on the island before the war. At one point, my team guided the U.S. ambassador to the Philippines, the C I A's former associate deputy director for clandestine operations and the 15th Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte and his wife Diana through the trails, tunnels and ruins.

Always the Philippines caught up between a conflict of other nations. Because of the greediness of these leaders many innocent lives have to sacrifice. Most of the Filipino people are still live in poverty but contented , we just want to live peaceful life for our race. But even if world war 3 will start we Filipinos are willing to fight till death, because these intruders had no right to cause us sufferings anymore, not in our time anymore. Those greedy and crazy people who always caused misery and suffering for other races, "There days will be numbered" and history will always remember them as villain. I really can't imagine how these people who always caused war or conflict to other countries can still slept at night without hunting by those souls who died because of their craziness about war. Do not forget that we are not GOD and there is still more powerful than us, who has the last judgement at the end, and He will going to judge US according to our deeds. God knows what we are doing and what we are thinking. He knows our intentions, we cannot decieve Him. So please repent and start thinking how to help humanity rather than help eliminate human race. Those powerful people behind these wars. Yes, humanity will forget your atrocities, but GOD never forget. And those who have caused sufferings to human kind " Your days will be numbered" and GOD will sent you punishment surely you will be perished! Like He did on the Canaanites He will going to punish those sinful races thru the face of this earth. I though humans are the most intelligent creature, why with so much exposed and knowledge on past wars and histories we still not learned that WARS only caused sufferings to all of us, we are all affected. Nobody will end victory. It breaks only peace, life, family, economy, stability, and trust between nations to nations. What happened to those ambitious leaders like Hitler, Stalin, greedy Kings and monarchs in History that caused disaster to many native people, Where are they now? Are they still alive today? Did their earthly power gives them immortality to live 100, 200, or 300 years of their life's. No they still affected on GOD's cursed to Humanity and that is DEATH. Bible never failed to teach us morality if only those ambitious leaders who caused wars and sufferings to many countries in the past and commit atrocities to human kind knows this bible verse , maybe they might prevent themselves from commiting the biggest sin to human kind . "Mark. 8 Verses 34 to 38 [36] For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? We should not all forget that we are still flesh, and we are all going back to soil where we came from. So please while we are still alive, Do our best to help humanity and sufferings of human lives. Filipino people are peaceful race throughout in History we never became aggressive to our neighboring countries.

I see you've met the REAL OG locals in the area @9:40. They belong to the Aeta tribe and yeah, they're from the mountains found in Central Luzon but they used to live in the lowlands until the Spaniards and non-Aeta Filipinos drove them into the mountains. You could compare their long history to the history of the Native Americans in the US.

For almost a decade, the previous Filipino president, Duterte, spurned the US and tried hard to cozy up to the Chinese with the hope that they wouldn’t encroach on the Philippines’ territories and would stop harassing its fishermen. However, the tactic was an abject failure. The Chinese only respect strength, not weakness. The new Filipino president’s strategy of inviting back the US military is born out of desperation, since his military isn’t strong enough to stand up to the Chinese. The US had already made clear that the mutual defense treaty with the Philippines also encompasses all the disputed territories in the South China Sea, so unless China wants war with a much superior navy, it’s going to back off and look for easier victims to harass. Vietnam is the most obvious target here. It would really be ironic, if the Vietnamese also invite the US navy back to Cam Ranh Bay as a deterrent against Chinese aggressions. China doesn’t want to be encircled by the US military but it is doing its best to make that a reality 🤷🏼‍♂️
