No you don't, You need to find a Wet Sponge from the Ocean Monument, cook it to make it a Dry Sponge, place the only water block down and let it flow until it reaches it's limit, Place the Sponge on the end so it soaks up that flown water, cook that Wet Sponge in the furnace and a Bucket in the fuel slot, You get another water bucket.

its actually possible to turn one water block into infinite, if you fill up water bottles then fill up a cauldon with them then take out the water with a bucket, you now have two blocks and can make an infinite source :P

Solution: get a glass bottle and a cauldron get water from the block fill the cauldron up until full using the glass bottles then get a bucket and take the water from the cauldron and then Boom now you can make infinite water

Although he is right but, there are downsides too, the cactus juice actually contains some chemicals that can possibly make you sick, I was told about that, so it is always effective.
