btw a lot of people don't realise that bears are pretty much just as scared of humans as humans are scared of bears, if not more. If a bear sees or hears you, and they're not hungry or protecting their cubs, they're running away.

In that situation you could easily get away into your house cos the bear had to build up speed, when they start running they're only a bit faster than a person for a couple seconds until they accelerate to 40 kmph

Canadian here, Moose running through water clip is totally normal it's just cool footage. Moose are gigantic creatures and their long legs are built for walking/wading/swiming/running through water. As for the water in the footage it looked like a shallow river or lake. I believe the boat in the clip is just a regular freshwater fishing boat with a trolling moter (which is meant for shallow water). I'm very roughly guessing that the deepest part of the water the moose passed through was over 5 feet but before it was a little under 5 feet. They are massive beasts.

it's odd that Simon knows how fast a bear can run but doesn't know that a black bear will be scared shit less from literally anything, my camp counselor told me a story of a black bear coming into his camp site and all he did was stand up and the bear ran away
It depends on the situation with black bears. If it's a mother with cubs around, don't assume it will run. In fact, just don't assume the bear will run at all.

Ethan didn't say that though, he said the bear would be more focused on the water than to run after him, and when the bear decides to run after him he would be far gone. Which is a reasonable assessment.

8:50 they blow the air ballon up on ground level. Tether it off, hoist the person on top, he gets in place, then they start ascending upward to they sky. Then when they return they do the same thing. Land, tether it off, then hoist him off with like a crane or something to that degree

The Moon: Our moon is probably called THE Moon simply because it was once the only known moon (before telescopes became powerful enought to see Jupiter's moons). The dude on the hot air balloon: He probably climbed up there on the outside once the balloon was filled with air and upright. I've seen it done before for movie stunts, even up in the air.
7:42 A bear wouldn't just run at you trying to kill you, they only reason it would is if it was a mom and had cubs near by, but this bear looks young, and probably doesn't have children. Even if the bear was hungry most bears eat berries and not meat, they rarely eat meat, only if it's the last thing they can find.
The hot balloon thing was done via a ladder running from the basket to the top. Done whilst in flight & connected by harness the entire time. It's been done a fair few times now.

For the air balloon clip, the guy got up there from ropes that go up around the balloon. There’s a movie based on a real event, and the people in the balloon had to go up from those ropes and fix something.
But Harrys assumption isn't incorrect either. There's this German game show where two hosts challenge each other to do more or less risky stuff and one time one of the hosts had to do that balloon stunt. And he was connected to the balloon on the ground and then they blew it up. Guess you can do it multiple ways.

In regards to the scene in question, climbing the balloon, that was based on true accounts from other expeditions. It wasnt uttery false, the plot and storyline were not historically accurate but many of the details and historica devices were
Its like waking up in the middle of the night with lights off in your house... you are gonna know where everything is and turn the light on. That guy can turn around, make it to the door and have time to lock it before the bear even picks up speed to get there let alone get there without bumping into anything... Non of us can beat a horse (punch a horse and knock it out even without being hurt ourselves) But im positive almost every person here can do what Ethan said he could do against the bear...
8:25 bears are scared of humans as humans are scared of bears, if he were to get up he would startle the bear and the bear would run away. Like sharks, bears don’t attack every human they see.
Since he's so small and he's a black bear he's gonna be really scared of you so if you scream or move or walk up to him he will run away as long as you don't back him into a corner
