If TUNIC Was A Roguelike! Galaia ! Steam Next Fest! 

Mainly the look. First thing I think of when looking at this game is Tunic. So if tunic was a roguelike, this is how I’d imagine it would be. Obviously it’s not gonna play the same, cause they’re different genres.

Hello, developer here! You raise a very very good question. There are two things at play here: 1. It was hard to convey the Tunic-y secrets aspect in the demo, because the final game will be relatively small (result of being a solo-dev). This means that putting too many secrets in the demo would basically spoil half of the final game. 2. There are actually 3 secret relics in the demo! The secrets are there, but because the game is superficially an action game, many people either don't realize there are secrets to discover or just play the demo for a couple of runs and wait for the final game. Of course, Galaia will never out-Tunic Tunic itself :D This is a much humbler game that I did on my spare time, and it's much more action focused. But I can guarantee there are some non-trivial secrets to discover, moreso in the final game. And thanks @OHRyePlays for the amazing playthrough!

@@Pepius Thanks for the reply. Even without the secret stuff it looks like a well designed game. It’s always a bit unfair when people make these kind of comparisons. It creates weird expectations. I’ll be keeping an eye out for the game’s release.

@@darthelmet1 Thanks for the kind words! But I must say the Tunic comparison comes from my own words! It was the closest reference I could come up with to let players know that secrets are an important part of the game. Probably not the best comparison, so 100% my fault here :)

I think it’s fine to compare to other games. This game resembles the look of Tunic a lot, and it’s gorgeous. Sure it’s a different genre…but no one is saying this is the next Tunic game. Just saying…If Tunic was a Roguelike. No harm done. Game is great.
