Also, the "bot lobby" comments don't make sense when skillbased matchmaking isn't a thing in this game, there is literally no way to manipulate lobbies like i've been accused of SO many times over the past week. Most snipers who are GOOD at this game, took YEARS of practice to get that good. An average player cannot hop on & drop 80+ kills with a sniper in this game. Anyone can snipe passively, but how many can really snipe aggressively in this game?

Another good tip that may seem extremely obvious if you’re a seasoned FPS player is flanking. A lot of people have terrible awareness in this game. Just flank a lane and come up behind them. I consistently get multiple 5 and 6 on’s a game doing this.

Mini map is garbage. I play on a TV and it's hidden so far up in the corner I can't bother to look or I'll die. When are they gonna make a sub par game that can at least allow us to manipulate the hud? All these games are ass and yall loving it

It is harder for sure and that + no sbmm is what keeps me coming back to this game. It's so satisfying to perform well in and I can play the game for hours without getting annoyed, without sbmm, I can actually feel myself improving at the game.

No SBMM is great but these kids on the game r so cracked wit the movement. Idk how they sliding air strafe around so easily. I just air strafe because my fingers aint fast enough to slide then jump and shoot accurately all the time lol

Literally my first two game logged into this game I went against a bunch of bunny hopping movement gods. Was not fun 😂 then proceeds to booted up cod and dropped 20 kills in search first game ¯\_(ツ)_/ I don’t want sniping to be hard I want it to be enjoyable

Players have been coddled by sbmm and now that they don’t have the crutch they realize where they actually stand gunplay wise. Marksman rifles are also nice in this game. Reminds me of the good old run and gun cod’s that actually let you aggressively snipe like you did.

The issues with people accusing you of 'reverse boosting' is that a majority of these dudes that are playing now have only ever had SBMM. Guys that have been playing any FPS, especially COD, since before 2010 understand the term 'get gud'. Like these little homies dont understand the pre SBMM and having to actually get better at a game. The kids crying (in my opinion) are the kids who have been protected by SBMM over the years and probably haven't improved. Aye for all you SBMM lovers, this game is the time for you to put your EGO in check and actually see what its like to play against a large spectrum of players. You gonna get bodied...dont it personal and dont cry about nerfing something unless it LEGITIMATLY needs one. (Looking at you commando pro from mw2 2009)

In no way what I am about to say in defense of anything, but isn't SBMM not meant to help people learn faster than a lobby full of pro players? What are you gonna learn from not being able to play because the "really good" players are just murdering you? At least with SBMM when you do REALLY good against like-skilled players, your next lobby will be full of people that are also getting better...so you learn. Over time it builds skill. So while you say SBMM is bad, it really isn't. It isn't for everyone, sure, but for new players to the genre, or new players to games in general, it's beneficial. That being said, I don't care either way.

@forsakenseraphim I also concur with this. In no way am I saying I completely hate SBMM. I actually do enjoy to some degree. It's helped me maintain my skill level over the years, and honestly, without SBMM, I feel bad for guys I go up against who obviously aren't decent at the game at all. Even me just 'chilling' on the game can be seen as sweating to those players. I dont want to destroy guys twhoare learning because I know what iit'slike. But to tie it together, no I don't hate SBMM , but there are days where I'm like 'damn I really just want to chill on COD'. Not tooting my own horn, but I think the level that I play at won't truly ever let me relax in games with SBMM. Which I'm okay with.

I’ve started sniping since Cold War, and I strongly agree with you - sniping aggressively is WAY different and takes more skill than people think. The amount of times I’ve been outgunned by an SMG or better snipers show the skill gap when it comes to sniping. I’m not up to your level, but I hope to be there one day. ❤

you're 100% correct, one of the biggest counters to sniping is just picking phantom, the extra hp, riot shield or the popup shield are major counters. Also idk how you play with your tac 50 loadout, the 12x is way too much zoom for these midrange to cqb maps and the ex mag makes me feel like i'm in slow motion so I gotta give you props. Me personally I run no muzzle cuz muzzle booster feels useless imo, lightweight, variable scope, quick mag, quick draw, and padded stock. Idk how but the 4x is perfect for most of the maps everyone seems to dislike the 4x tho lol.

you can shoot the head still with good aim on riot shield... normal phantom deploy shield has like 200 hp... Also. sniping in this game is hit scan so it's pretty easy

True. Im not a super aggressive sniper in this game but Im not scared to step into close AR range and still cook because of movement and I enjoy it. I will say for some of my friends that arent as good at the game or movement they do struggle with the lane camping snipers because there isnt to much flinch in the game. I dont know how the lane campers have fun setting up shop for 10 min but tbh just flank them and get close with an AR or SMG till they switch or out snipe them lol.

I don’t even get mad when I lose games in xdefy. It’s bc not only am I truly having fun; but the old school grind of adapting and fixing holes in my game keeps me going. I went from losing hella games to winning more than losing. No sbmm and taking Ls to the chin is the only way to improve REALISTICALLY in fps. (Imho)

Recently I’ve picked up the sniper and have been in love with the gameplay, some matches going 60+ kills and 20 sum odd deaths. I have noticed that sometimes you can get the shot off before you die, but the bullet doesn’t register for the trade. All in all The snipers in this game are not overpowered, now that 2 shot dmr is most definitely questionable

Hello Kitty, good sniping. I have the same style as you, and I'm genuinely curious. Why don't you use padded stock on the TAC-50 since it has no cons (only pros)? I can definitely understand choosing extended mag, but is that the only reason? Preferring more ammo over padded stock that gives more ads stability and no cons overall? I will go for another run using no stock, but I'm not quite sold out - but I am curious to hear more about your mindset on this if possible.

First of all! Something everyone seems to have forgotten! There was a time we payed a lot extra to get the high DPI mouse, and maybe you still do, but not to the same degree. But I find it funny to see people buying high DPI mouses, and then they set it at 800 or even lower. The more DPI your mouse has, the more precise it is. You should set as high as you can, while you can still turn it down in software with sensitivity. the more dpi, the more precise it is. Then put a ruler on your mousepad. depeding on if you like high or low sens. when you have moved your mouse between 25-35cm on the mousepad, you should have done a 360 on screen. (and if you use freedom units, google can help you translate) Just copying someones DPI makes no sense - because more likely than not, it will end up not being the same on your PC as on his. Find something that you think works for you. And then stick with it. The worst you can do is change it around all the time, because you want it to become muscle memory

I think it’s clear to most people that the problem with snipers is that they have no flinch. sniper are working the way it should but they def need flinch. Also, we will need part two of this video in S1 cause they will definitely add flinch to snipers in S1 as Mark mentioned on Twitter.

i noticed something pretty interesting last night. i was just messing around with the tac on the range and i figured out how to glitch the ads timing so it's stupid fast. if you slide jump and aim in like almost halfway right as you land, and then aim in again you can glitch the ads animation and it's a way faster ads time if you get the timing right. just kind of awkward lol but yeah i really dig the movement in this game .

I use this trick too, basically the sliding animation cancels out the long sprinted to fire time the snipers have so you can actually make use of your reduced ads speed from attachments

After sniping for a while what i understood was that there was a overpowered aspect to snipers and that was the lack of flinch. That's fixed. I saw it a lot when going against lmg. Or even using the lmg. At a certain range if you shot at a sniper player before seeing it was a sniper if he was practiced you could die before killing him even if you got shots in first. I saw the flinch nerf in action and it seemed to me that they hit it a little to hard.

They should have a attachment called sling for snipers where swap speed is increased going back to the sniper and give it a new animation like your swinging it from the side/back and catching it like a boss or some shit, would be sick in clips

The first time I picked up this game(literally two days ago) I jumped right onto sniping & the only thing I wasn’t doing was strafe jumping(well not intentionally) & I’ve just been dominating lobbies I barely even play lol I’ll go into practice & hit 5 targets down consistently 10 times in a row then I go play for half an hour

Do you think snipers are overpowered in xdefiant? I do think they need some flinch... but they're definitely not overpowered. It's far easier to counter a sniper than to counter an SMG upclose, so if you're losing gunfights to snipers up close... you need to learn movement better. 1 strafe a 9/10 times a sniper will miss/hitmarker, that's all it takes to counter a sniper in this game

Definitely not overpowered Imo. People were tryna tell me yesterday that you cant outgun snipers in this game and there is no counter. Snipers are the easiest gun to counter, Just slide cancel air strafe and the sniper will miss getting you a free kill. Sniping's only overpowered in the right hands.

@@ickilla Its even easier to counter snipers that are hardscoping. 1 hardscopers are generally the worst snipers. 2 even the best snipers will miss more time if you slide cancel air strafe. Saying think of half a team running snipers doesn't make a difference, because you stand more of a chance countering 3 snipers aiming at you than 3 smgs or ars.

A little flinch would be good. I think it will mean more once the net code/ d sync/ hit reg gets fixed. Am loving the sniping other than that.

Put your controller settings on skill thumb brawler, its in the controller settings it lets you slide with R3 and jump with L1

I’ve been saying this for years about SBMM and I’m glad xDefiant is here as a litmus test lol. SO many CoD players have been brainwashed and given such an inaccurate perception of their skill level bc of SBMM. They’re so used to going 1-10 kills positive nearly every game, and they think that means they’re good 😂. Since they’re stuck in their invisible skill bracket they have no concept of what is actually possible in the game, or that there’s players out there that would triple nuke the lobbies they struggle in 💀

I spent most of the weekend leveling up shotguns because of the double xp weekend. It just seems unfair how niche and bad the shotguns are when you can noscope someone at two feet still with a sniper. I am not saying that snipers should be bad but I think maybe something should be done to punish point blank sniping. Being point blank should force you to resort to your secondary weapon in my mind.

The other scopes feel way off, ive got 13 hours so far all on the tac 50 already have it gold and cant hit a shot with anything but the default

Personally I think sniping is and will always be perfect. I get hit markers still with the tac 50 so I’m not sure why people are saying they are op. Yes majority of the time they are one shot but that’s what a sniper is supposed to do. I guess you could say the same about fully auto and semi autos just like irl but for snipers it has always made sense they are one shot because you get one bullet and one chance if the enemy you are fighting is decent. I hope they don’t nerf sniping but if they do then I mean I guess it is what it is.

I think they'll nerf by adding more flinch, but i can't see much else changing without straight up nerfing them into the ground. They aren't stupid, they wont do that.

@@FaZeKitty honestly I agree and also didn’t think about that. The backlash they would receive for basically making sniping useless would be over the top. The flinching will suck if that is what they end up doing but I guess we need to just be faster and sneakier then our enemy lol. Aside from that, watching you play this game especially sniping helps me a ton grinding the gold camos for both snipers. You and others might think differently but for me even with the double xp that just happened, it feels like it takes quite a bit to level up the weapons. My tac is currently at 57? So I’m getting close to silver but man it feels never ending lol. I love sniping but the leveling could be slightly faster imho. After sniping im on my way to getting the pistols or shotguns out of the way since those are definitely the most annoying.

I still think snipers neex more flinch like you said. But with such little gun balance, theres not much to say. Ive got so many kills at a target im aiming at while they shoot ke because the aim flinch is just not enough

My fist clip was a banger. I got the sniper all the way to gold without hitting anything but as soon as i got gold a few games after i hit a triple with a single after for a quad feed. If thats my first clip imma be playing for a bit lol.

Really enjoying sniping on this game. I get your point about being the bot if you're constantly running into sweats. But the reason I've been crying lately is that I was doing well in the first few days but the lobbies have just been getting sweatier (most people strafing as you mentioned to counter). K/D is is going down and down. How tf do you get worse over time?

I’m a aggressive sniper in mw3 I’m not as good as you are but against people with regs I still have a positive kd and I personally think it’s a little unfair they definitely need to increase the flinch but other than that yes it does take skill to play the way me and all of the good snipers on yt play

I am not a sniper (anymore) I gave it up due to old age (turning 30 in a month and a half) and I will admit, I do think snipers are OP, but at the same time. I dont want them to be bad. This gives me nostalgia to a simpler time in call of duty when quickscoping was fun and had a big following, something I think has died in recent years of CoD and I think something I want xDefiant to embrace.

@@gunnem7629 the age thing was really a joke, it’s more just the lack of time to play and CoD not being good enough to waste my time on as I’ve gotten older. I could still jump on and quickscope to a decent degree, but it’s not something I put the time in to get great at anymore.
