I got into a horrifying motorcycle accident around 4 months ago. I was bedridden up until 2 weeks ago, and the recovery has been not only painful, but also frustrating. I felt as though I had lost so much time scrolling through TikTok or on my phone while recovering. I can remember so many details about my life before the accident, but the only memories I have during my recovery are disappearing; I cant recall a single TikTok video I consumed just because of how insignificant the content was. This whole experience has taught me to not take my time for granted. I was very invested into fitness, and I took my physical appearance and health very seriously before the accident. I lost years of muscle building and strength, but I was not upset about that because I knew it would be something I can work towards and start from scratch. I am still more upset at the fact it took a devastating injury for me to realize how much time I was losing to TikTok and video games. I wish for everybody to have the same realization before you spend your whole life consuming meaningless content without any true memories ever being made.

crazy story bro, glad you are still thinking that positively🔥 hope you can keep up the grind and use the incident as a stepstone rather than something that drags you down💫

I agree with the core philosophy of your video. The way I see it is that video games are only a waste of time if you are not getting enjoyment out of it. People who are slaves to playing ranked, grinding for loot, and completing battlepasses are wasting their time. Playing R6 and Halo with my friend group is some of the most fun I've had in gaming and I still remember specific memorable matches we played that involved things like the shittest player in our stack clutching a 1v5, or a rando saying unhinged things over voice chat. Also I was also really good at For Honor, and played that game semi-pro because I got really good at it, and I found being at that level was really fulfilling to me because it gave me something to be proud of (LOL it's kind of funny when I say it out loud). I have also played a lot of single player games like Skyrim, Dying Light, Half Life, The Witcher, etc and enjoyed every second of it. I regret nothing with those games. The only time gaming that I think was "wasted" was when I used to play Call of Duty, where I would grind for hours each day just to unlock skins that ultimately mean nothing at the end of the day. I consider it a waste of time because I did not enjoy camo grinding, and I just switched on auto pilot and didn't think about what I was doing. What it comes down to is getting something out of the experience. If you play a game and it has an emotional impact on you, where it makes you think and immerse yourself in the world, I think that is a valuable experience. Gaming is not bad, so long as it is moderation. Focus on your real life goals, and don't let gaming, let alone any other hobby distract you from becoming the best version of yourself.

@@VoicedAgate very true words bro, I was too playing fortnite competitively and i regret no minute, especially such sessions with your friends, still for many they are not playing in moderation and for them videogames are not quite constructive for their development

What you said applies to casual gamers, but when you go to the professional level, esports players build up their brand also, they make lots of connections, and most coaches make the esports players go outside and do physical exercise so that their mental is the best for the game. It's not like esports just brings bad things out of people.

@@nithinmanivannan924 yeah but that mostly counts maybe for the very best in a game, i was in that for multible years aswell. Ofc you are right but this content is not for esprtler but more for addicts who have difficulties quitting
