Would you ever consider testing led blinkers, break lights, and backup lights? I'm not sure what kind of tests you'd do besides lumens and temp. But it would be nice to see a channel that does consistent tests. Thank you for the awesome videos!
I had sent him our yellow turn signal bulbs (size 3156/3157) since they don't hyperflash, but he doesn't have that socket size or way to test it currently.
I have the Lastfit LS Plus H13 9008 in my 2013 F150 and WOW! They are super bright 🔆 the cut off is amazing! I had too bring them way down to not blind oncoming traffic. I live in the country and drive against traffic on my way too work and back home. And unfortunately I work at night. I commute 50 miles a day all night drives. And I can see everything in front of me. From side to side. Truly amazing light pattern.
Thank you for the awesome review on this and the LS plus. I just went ahead and ordered the low beam H11 and fogs for my wife's 2021 Tacoma TRD off-road. Lasfit has 15% off now Also I just found your channel and subscribed.
Great channel!!! Your methodical and comprehensive analysis is invaluable. Any chance you can review the Lasfit 2024 4th Gen LS Plus bulbs? I am interested in low heat, high output for my 2014 RDX projectors. Currently using Hikari Titanova and am happy, but looking for something that runs cooler and provides equivalent or better performance in my projectors.
Thank you @CarLightReviews for some great content! It is great to know that the fans and heatsinks really do help to keep bulbs cool, and that keeps them efficient and no doubt gives them a longer lifespan. I appreciate your advice about always using the dust cap if possible to keep dirt and grime out of the headlight assembly. One thing I have to ask is this: The massive heatsink / fan units being tested appear to be tested in standalone or freestanding mode. That gives the fan an unlimited supply of cool air to circulate. I only base this assumption upon the pics shown in your earlier videos when you show the projector lens portion of a Camry headlight, mounted on a tripod for your test environment. If the bulb assemblies are plugged into sealed headlight assemblies and covered with a dust cap, won't that affect the cooling ability of the fans & heatsinks? For example if there is only 1/10 cu ft of air inside a headlight assembly, how long until the air is heated to the point that it affects the 27 minute lux rate of the bulbs? Would it still show percentage rate of 93? To sum it up, do the cooling fans still ensure the same 93% efficiency when enclosed inside a headlight assembly or are cooling fans just distractions for a best case scenario score? Thanks again!
Fair question and not uncommon. My data is to be measured against two things: 1) the baseline halogen as an upgrade, and 2) the other lights tested. I do this in a consistent environment and consistent method. Without that consistency, the data is not valid. It is impossible to factor in the inconsistencies between the thousands of different dust caps shapes, sizes, volumes, etc. as well as the inconsistencies in temperature (the numbers can be different in Arizona than what they can be in Alaska), or many, many other factors....like the fact that one person drives at 25 mph and another person drives at 75mph. Consistent testing is the key. Changing any element changes the data...and the data tells the whole story.
@@CarLightReviews Wow JD, thanks for the quick, thorough response and helping me to see the big picture! Your channel is very informative. thanks for sharing your methods and results 👍
It's the same as F9 that was tested in a previous video. I installed Novsight N60 in fogs last week, and it's a monster of lumens!!! They match LED headlights color on my Mercedes perfectly. My friend drove my car and said that Mercedes headlights plus fogs together are brighter than his 2021 Lexus ES. I'm very happy, plus it was on Amazon for $66+tax.
I ordered the dual-beam Titanovas for my projector headlights. Seems that these are not quite as bright but run cooler. That may equal longer life, correct?
I still think it is one of the largest (if not THE largest) diameter fans inside an assembly. At least I haven't tested one that has a fan that large so far.

Thank you so much for doing this review! I love Lasfit and of course always want the best of the best. After watching this review and learning that the PRO's just have a different fan and relatively similar lux ratings as the LS Plus's, I will stick to my LS Plus's. It would've been a hassle to install them on a Tacoma, which you have to remove the whole headlight assembly to put them in. Thank you again for saving my wallet and having to deal with the installation mess!
@@Undisputed_King Are you talking about the ones that look like a fan housing with a projector lens in front of it? Nah...they don't work. Think about a laser pointer compared to a flashlight. You need your headlights to have a spread like a flashlight to illuminate a broad area, not a pinpoint of light in front of you. Unless there's a new design out there that I am not aware of?
Not an led, but would be really interested to see you test an h9 halogen bulb. It was the go to swap for years, and it would be very cool to see how it stacked up against the led options available
I've had a few suggestions to do more halogen tests. I am building a shopping list of halogen bulbs to try. Let me know if you have any specific suggestions!
I've got a ton of room behind my old 2002 2500hd silverado headlight housings, so as long as it doesn't have a goofy scattered beam in those reflectors, I'm in! Especially hauling over snowy mountain passes, hauling my Sled trailer.
HI. Thanks so much for these videos. So very well done. Question: I have a 2012 NIssan Frontier with original bulbs for headlights.. My understanding is that these halogen lights gradually get dimmer before going out. What lights would you recommend (specific for my truck please). I don't want to blind anyone..but, price, quality, ease of installation. Would appreciate it.
Unfortunately, I can't suggest a recommendation for specific vehicles as I can't test them all, I am sorry to say. That's why I can offer a baseline reference and you can review my headlight data spreadsheet here: carlightreviews.com/headlightspecs and use that data to guide your decision. In these situations, I also always suggest that you consult your favorite social media group or message board specific to your vehicle. Overall, be sure to aim them accurately and if you can't...they might not be compatible with your specific vehicle. Sorry I cannot be more specific to your needs!

The smaller one is already so bright I don’t think I could drive near other cars with anything brighter. They’re brighter than my headlights in fog housings throwing complete 180* beam angle
The brighter the led, the better the light output. And much better to see way further. Fun fact. Lasfit update this H11 pro series. Instead of 36W. It’s 50W per bulb. They already made new series called LAair but that’s when CLR test them. But that’s the old one. The newer style has a beefier heatsink and 30MM cooling fan. And now it’s also a 50W per bulb.
Have you tested the newest Fahren Termitor 30,000 Lumen “all in one unit” that’s on Amazon and if so what are the specs on that one? I purchased some, but don’t think they are near as bright as the Hikari Titanova 30,000 lumen that I bought a few weeks afterward.
@@CarLightReviews even though they are H11. That’s my vehicles headlight bulb size. But this one, will never fit. Unless I can cut my hood to make some room. 🤣
I could but it would be easier for me to tell you that they simply do not work. The short reason why is that headlights are designed to capture light from a filament of a very specific shape and size at a very specific point. 360 degree headlight replacement bulbs talk a good game, but they do not replicate that filament. Standard style LED chips like the one in this video are most common for a reason, which is they come close to replicating that filament.
I haven't tested HID to LED conversions yet. So far, there is not enough evidence that it is an upgrade at least in terms of light output. I have been researching it, but I have nothing conclusive yet. Stay tuned, I will eventually give it a try anyway to see how it ends up in my environment.
@@CarLightReviews I just bought some random off amazon. I’m pretty amazed. It’s bright. Currently no one is really testing and reviewing LED D1s, d2s, d3s, and etc.
I don't have to check, I mention this in every video I release. I put this in the description: ▬ A NOTE ON USING LED LIGHTS AS HALOGEN BULB REPLACEMENTS ▬ Aim your headlights AT LEAST once a year and ALWAYS after replacing the bulbs. If the cutoff is bad or you can’t aim them accurately or the light output scatters, it is NOT safe to use. Try a different style of LED or one with a lower output that will be more compatible with your light housing. See my other videos for more reviews. When I use the word “headlights”, I am referring to legal off-road use or fog light use only as replacing factory halogen bulbs with LEDs for headlights in the US is not currently legal nor a DOT approved practice. This video is only for informational purposes for using LED lights legally. Check your local laws and regulations.
So what. We all know led headlight bulbs are not DOT. But that’s ok, as long as we’re not hurting anyone. We still prefer upgrade with led to see better, and be seeing better. And these will not blind others. As long as u get the correct type of led like this, fix the height of the beam pattern, and fix the orientation as well.
