First of all, I just enjoy Yvette’s laugh. But I love how Yvette’s laughter has punctuation marks in it. There’s nothing basic about it, and it’s very informative 😂.
I definitely subscribed to the timeline of society expectations for many years. Now I just live my life. Their time ain't my time and my time ain't God's time!
I'm not religious, more focused on my spiritual journey currently, but I always appreciate your guys' perspective when it comes to your path with God, your lifestyle, etc. It's just nice to hear a different POSTIVE perspective every once in a while. Thank you, much love!
Prior to meeting my husband, my previous relationships were very abusive and manipulating. I was not interested in a relationship and could care less how I even looked when I went out. Also, I already had an 8-year-old daughter. Prior to meeting me, my husband told himself he never wanted a baby momma or a ready-made family. I say this because what my husband thought he was looking for God had already planned. What I thought was just a movie out one night became 13 years of marriage, and other than my daughter, the best thing in my life from god. Keep trusting in God while working on things you enjoy because through those things, the right person will see who you are by God's direction, and all things will fall into place❤

I’m 36 still single and trying to figure everything out. I don’t think I’m equipped to take on another human being in my space because of how much I need to figure out. And I’m ok with that.
16:30 You know what’s triggering to me? I frankly don’t care that I’m not alone in this. I don’t want to be a part of this mother lover at all. Loneliness depression financial etc. etc. all the stuff that the majority go through. I don’t wanna be a part of this at all I don’t need miserable company. Do men even think that they are good men nowadays??? And you know it’s crazy the people that are somewhat OK separate themselves because they don’t want to be tainted. And I feel them lol it’s like they don’t want to let me inside of the party🤣

I think we Christian women are really hiding behind fear for marriage avoidance and it's super concerning this is the new trend. So few marriages in our community and yet we lament on the state of our community at the same time. I honestly believe marriage avoidance is setting our community sooo far behind. As believers, somehow we have twisted Genesis fixated on Paul and infinite singleness. No other culture does this at all. Its endless podcasts and men vs women discussions that is progressing us nowhere. We have made a lot of excuses and reasons to avoid marriage and then when realize we are nearly 40+ then we realize we wasted time. I used to be so fearful of marriage and hid behind miss independent lifestyle and after having two medical emergencies in my home alone in the middle of the night, i realized how stupid my thinking was. I no longer subscribe to this as i have lost so much time in my life and see how it has been selfish thinking. We need men and we cannot do life alone. Dying alone sucks and is simply not Gods will not what his word says. I regret alot the year of thinking like this.
