Anyone else notice if you listen to the bar owner’s voice whilst looking at the subtitles, it sounds like he’s actually saying what is in the subtitles, just insanely quick.
@@TongTong-or2bh looks like first the person who pays, then the person who sits right next to your character, then the person that sits across from your character and then the last one
can you imagine if brewster was anything but the polite, well mannered bird he is? "if you want a bunch of coffee, go sit your *ss down." "a tab? get lost, cheapskate." "so you seriously only want... water? ... ugh, teens."
At a bar, you can start a tab when you order your first drink. If you do, then you give your card to the bartender for the night. You can then continue ordering as many drinks as you want throughout the night without having to hassle with getting out your card and paying every time. When you are ready to leave you can close out your tab, meaning total up all that you ordered and pay for it in one go. Hope that helps :)
On tv they let loyal customers at cafes/bars set up tabs so they can go in and eat or drink multiple times without paying, and then they pay for all of it at once at a later date. It’s usually used for jokes about the characters taking advantage and never paying their tabs
For all you've done for the island, and as much as you keep the island economy moving, that pigeon not allowing you to have a tab is pretty damned insulting... But then I'd never be ordering a cup of gourmet coffee from a filthy disgusting pigeon in the first place...
@@genericname2747 He offered me pigeon milk. PIGEON MILK. Who got milked? What the hecc??? Did Nintendo forget that there is almond milk, rice milk, oat milk, soy milk and cashew milk?¿? Why didn't they go for something plant based... uuuuggghhhh 🤢
so gourmet coffee, some of which has been eaten by monkeys and pooped out (the most expense kind) is fine, but a bird gives you coffee in a world of animals, no thanks?
Oh so nook can put me in debt without warning but with a very loose pay off date; but heaven forbid I willingly want to go into debt for a coffee date and pay you the next day Lol
Im sorry but im sure you can work something out with him. You know i feel like you should be able to put it on your tab. You just wont be able to get more coffee after buying like 3.
This is honestly one of my biggest pet peeves in games. Why even bother giving the option if it does...nothing? It literally is just a "Nevermind" option, so say "Nevermind". This, among other reasons, are why I severely dislike this game and others that are similar. I just can't get over the illusion of choice.
@@xyannail4678 I can play both of those games since the gameplay makes up for the lack of choice impact. While I still find it frustrating, it doesn't completely ruin the game for me. With Animal Crossing though, I already find what little gameplay it has to be boring. I'm not bashing the game, mind you, I'm just saying it isn't my kind of game. I'm impatient and don't like to wait, so a game that makes you wait a day (sometimes more) to do things (unless I physically close the game and change my time on my switch, which is annoying to do every 5 mins) is not my kind of game.
@@sournote8610 The gameplay aspect is a you problem... If it's not your cup of tea, why would you bother playing it? Thiz is a series so seeing the previous entries should give you an overview of what the game is all about. A lot of games similar to this has flavor text just for the sake variety in dialogue... I'm just observing this but usually when people say 'it's not their thing, but it's not bad' they usually shut up about opinions like this.
