after the eight feet tall episode i would also hear the thumping sound it would come randomly but everytime i would hear it i would actually start to have a panic attack, would cry and i prayed so hard this went in for like 2 years until it eventually went away i'm pretty sure i was just paranoid but i just pray to god i or no one else experiences it, it might seem like a little thing but it was so so so terrifying for me

My grandmother used to tell me the story of hachishakusama but she told it a little different she told me the hachishakusama would beat a drum and when you heard it you knew that was the end, she only targeted little boys and she wore a long white dress with hair of silk she would lord little boys outside promising a feast for the young boys. She would tell the young boys to wait outside their room for her and when 1:00 struck she would take the boy and beat her drum as fast as possible and with that the boys legs would be chopped clean off, she would then take the bones of the young boys and add them to her height which is why she is known as hachishakusama
