This video honestly is such a wake-up call- I've been struggling with schoolwork and have honestly been slacking off so much. I used to be a lot more productive a couple weeks ago and honestly I have felt so much worse ever since I stopped. And this video made me realize everything. Your videos are so insanely underrated. And if you're reading this, going through the same thing as me, I'm sure with just a little bit of effort you can be a trillion times better
jspark. I've been feeling rather demotivated in life lately. Trying to hide my true struggle by just watching TV just doesn't work. I need to make tiny changes to my life, just like the book Atomic Habits said. Tiny changes everyday. I can slowly progress, I just need to make sure I don't "walk backwards" or deprogress. I agree that if we only take advantage of the time that we have, then, we really realize the amount of the time we've wasted in the past. It's going to be a hard journey. But, if we make small changes to a better future everyday, then nothing can stop us.
I’m here to hold myself accountable, I love this channel and it’s helped in both areas of studying, starting new hobbies and practicing music. Thank you for this video, I’m here to better myself and I am so grateful for the push it has given me!! Thank you JSpark
You’re 100% right man, my true self wants to finish writing that book, go to the gym, take care of myself, and etc. but since I’m lonely and don’t have friends that will talk and bond with me, it will always make me feel down and out. the only thing that my brain thinks is best is to go on Instagram or YT shorts and laugh at some funny videos. but before I even realize what time it is, half of my day is already gone. And since I’m always on my phone , the friends I did had got irritated with me because I always texted them or wanted to play games with them on the PS5. And since I’m struggling with depression, I been on my phone all day 24/7 from sun up to midnight. But from watching this video I see that I have to make a change before it’s too late. It might hurt now, but the regret will hurt worse. I will do the 5 minute timer technique and try my best to put the phone down and enjoy my life while I’m 17. Thanks bro. You’re the real top G💪🏾😂
I deleted all social media a month ago, i havnt watched any short form videos in a month and im so proud of myself, im getting out more, focusing on my GCSE'S, and im just generally more happy.
Jspark you are a pretty cool guy. I strive to be as cool as you. I also think your curly fluffy hair is cool. Unfortunalty I have straight hair so it doesnt have the same effect, so for now, i'll just focus on studying. Lots of love, me.
Late to the party but this was a really well put out video. Well scripted, filmed and edited. I guess Student Accelerator is making you big bucks (wouldve joined if I had the money). For me, I spend most of my time on Yt because I dont feel like doing anything else. Thank you Jspark for this video. Even though I am a grade 9 student (British A+), my life is not complete nor full. I am now getting into new hobbies like running. If you see this, I wish you the best. Keep it up ❤
The tips towards the end were really eye-opening. Like any addiction, we are trying to compensate for something we're lacking with social media. For me, it's friends (social life in general) focus on my hobbies, and the fear of pursuing my dreams and failing. So I live through others on the internet. Thanks for Helping me realize this Mr. Jspark, i'm going to start putting myself out there and trying, to actually live. 6/5/24 age:15
I think that there is the difference between your screen time and time you spend on the social media. Phone is also a tool and we use it for getting information. Everything depends on how do you use it. 4-6 hours won't be that bad if you watch lectures, chat with friends, do tests, read books. I know that you are talking about social media in the video, but this detail is also important
I deleted tiktok and insta at one point. but I loved it because I focussed more on me. I'm not even lying, I was in such a depressing time, but i decided to get up and be better. Now im chillin. I might re install tiktok after school is done, but I probably will try to control my screen time. And yea, people do say things, and ofc I wouldn't understand. But idrc, cuz my class is very trendy, so i catch on quick.
thank you so much for this video it has truly helped me a lot!! my screen time went from 9 to 10 hours to 4 hours after this and for me that was an achievement😭 i realised that, like it was said in the video you see the type of content you lack for example i was seeing so many study tips videos and not applying them but when i started studying i saw a difference and that really helped me😁
I‘m proud to say I use my bike almost everyday. I try to think mainly in a nuanced way and whenever I pursue my studies, I use the forest app to track my time spent studying.
You truly got my respect for making this video which regain awareness to me because I am a person who spend so much time scrolling and watching unnecessary reels, contents, etc. Tysm brother!🗿
I've always dreamed of becoming an F1 driver, but living in a third world country just makes it impossible for me to start karting, and even if i try my parents wouldn't let me because of our financial status. If racing is the only thing im passionate about, then where will i end up in life? I'm struggling to find something else im passionate with, i dont know what to do.
It depends on which electronic you play. If you play on your phone, tablet or computer, then I would recommend using apps or sites like Forest or Study Bunny that have a timer and will hold you accountable if you're on your phone during the time that you should study. As a reward, at Forest you can get a tree planted or at Study Bunny you can get coins to buy outfits and much more for your bunny. You can also see on these apps for how long you have studied in total and that personally motivates me.
