The "Want to buy a sombrero" exchange was never used in the actual ride. Based on live audio and video recordings of the ride it sounds like they just used the actual people in the film clip for that segment. This version is also unfortunately missing the exit music chorus that returned to the opening singers now doing, "You DO have wings" etc. I am still furious that Disney didn't release the pristine tracks in the days of the WDW Forever kiosks beyond the Dixieland instrumental version when they easily could have. For that I blame the Disneyland centric bias of all the major Disney historians who mostly are ignorant of the things unique to WDW in its first two decades and care little about their long-term preservation in contrast to how every scrap of material related to a Disneyland attraction did get released.
About the “Want to buy a sombrero” line, that was used. Its heard around 1:30 in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7Hom010CGqE.html
You can also hear a bit of it at around 3:30 here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-26pTvW2iaWI.html Of course the end of it was changed, but the beginning part was used.
@@definingdisney Just to clarify, I meant that the "Want to buy a sombrero" exchange from this archival audio version which then has the other person going, "You can have cheap" wasn't used. Instead the people filmed in the market did use the "Want to buy a sombrero" dialogue but we're hearing their own voices rather than these studio voices on the archival track that were intended to be dubbed over for that scene.
This is amazing. This is as close to the actual ride we will get with the audio. How did you find this? Also, were the eastern airlines ads from the airport?
