my ex girlfriend had a gummy smile, and i loved it more than anything, her smile was literally the most beautiful thing i've ever seen. so i don't think a gummy smile makes you less beautiful and you have to do anything about it, just be yourself, you're created beautifully.
@being human I'm not the weird type not to communicate. I've told him a thousand times. I've explained to gim exactly rhat too, that I never even noticed these things and now they're all I think about. It doesn't help that I never get complimented ahen I do actually look pretty, or getting no touch affection, or being rejected for seggs.
@@mycappo1 I think every smile is unique, not that horrible silicon valley ideal, which is absolutely hideous. ❤️We should show ourselves a little love.
I have always had a gummy smile. I remember when I was smiling for a photo, my mom telling me "stop goofing off, smile for real" and it was my real smile... I never knew how much people hated and wanted to get rid of their gummy smile. I've always struggled with self love and acceptance, but one of the nicest things that I do is see my gummy smile in the mirror and feel happy that I can even smile at myself. I think I love my gummy smile.
Glad you handle it well 💚 My friend ever said my smile is funny (strange) then i do fake laugh to hide my insecurity, embarrased and sad, cause i've always love my smile until she shocked me with her words, and i'm an overworrying person about people's opinion 😔
I have a gummy smile and one side of my mouth is higher than the other and it's so embarrassing. I've always hated my smile for that reason. I have a decent upper lip but nothing crazy.
Actually i love gummy smiles a lot more then i should😅 its one of the cutest unnecessary things i'm searching for in a human being❤️ they just look so cute and happy ok❤️🥰
gummy smiles are amazing and they always seem to be on the shiest/quietest people, my sister has a wonderful gummy smile so when she isn’t walking around with her rbf people are kinda shocked lol
Gummy smiles are beautiful and you don’t need to get rid of them. It’s awful that some people are self conscious about this. All real smiles are beautiful because they show the happiness a person has or experiences. Please never let anyone tell you that your smile isn’t beautiful, because they are wrong.
the fact that my teacher has this made me confused on why she showed more of her gums, but now i completely understand because of this video. I appreciate you teaching others about teeth and mouth related stuff
Somehow I never noticed this before, but if you play Bentist videos without sound, the subtitles and his super expressive gesturing provides a near equal experience. Very cool!
Because people make fun of it and it’s not always just a little gum showing. My smile is half teeth half gum when I’m super happy. I love smiling and do it all the time, but when people make fun of it it’s so much more of an impact because I smile all the time.
When I was little , like 5-6 year old , I went to school with a girl of same age . She was the prettiest human being in my eyes . I was mesmerized by her beauty for the entirety of like 6-7 years then I moved places (sadge). And I absolutely loved her gummy smile , she had the prettiest smile . And to this day I refuse to believe she wasn't an angel. Moral of the story : gummy smiles are beautiful , even if not to you , definitely to someone. (Note: I'm a girl too and she was my first ever childhood crush , before I even knew what love or crushes are)
I miss my gummy smile. I used to have it, but since I was brushing a lot closer to the gum line when I had braces, my gums ended up wearing away enough to be less visible.
Bentist I know you haven’t done this series in a while but I have a suggestion to break off the bracket you should chew on ice. Also I love you so much bentist keep on doing what your doing!!!
bentist I just got braces, and I have no idea how people break them so easy and I have had 0 problems with them. They be doing the craziest things to Break those brackets huh😂
Imma just say, I used to have the most awkward forced smile, but after live-streaming I unconsciously taught myself how to smile naturally on command. Another method, one of my sisters was a college cheerleader and practiced her smile in the mirror until she was happy with it and memorized that feeling
I just hoped when I was younger there are more people that are accepting of gummy smile. Kids my age bullied the hell outta me that made me self-conscious about smiling😭😭😭 they were ruthless
I always thought it was something sought after- my dentist told me it’s a sign of youthfulness and beauty and he actually offered to make my smile more gummy when I got my braces 😅
There’s a 4th group too. People that have damaged their lip frenulum. I know someone that never had a gummy smile, then they damaged the lip frenulum so bad it’s basically non-existent now. Ever since then, they have had a gummy smile.
my smile is gummy but it's actually just because something is wrong with my gums(idk what it's called) that causes them to come really far down on my teeth(people make fun of me bc of "baby teeth" when i don't have any) and i'm going to have to get gum surgery to pull them back up when i'm done with braces. thank god cuz i'm tired of dentists telling me i'm not flossing even when i am
