Your setting is so relaxing the generals could not wake up.. lol but watching you fry the dumpling puts me in mind of me frying biscuits it is made almost the same way except we add water and butter. But once fried try to add cinnamon sugar for a sweet treat. You would really love it once adding the cinnamon and sugar makes it a pastry. Or try dipping into eagg and milk with cinnamon and make it like french toast. 😋 Yummy

Lol. .I had some boil fry this week with some ackee and saltfish....I used the fresh sweet cassava and whole wheat flour to mske the dumplings...was better than the boil dumplings ...I grew up on these overnight dumplings we used to call them.
Yes! I always wash the ackee after cleaning them and it does no affect the firmness after it is cooked. There are no rules governing whether it is washed or not, people just make up their own rules and try to impose them on others. Some people don’t was meat either before cooking it. To each his own.
I don't understand how people don't wash their meat. Whether it's been killed by hand or come from a factory neither will be clean enough to just cook due to feathers, fur, blood or unsanitary factory cross contamination

Love the vlogs and cooking but you are so wrong on this one..we wash Ackee but granny say if you wash the Ackee the tree becomes buttery. My late mom say when she was a kid in'the 1930ies she use to sleep and wake and take a bite out of the dumplings her mom left'on the table to fry over next morning for breakfast.She say she used a'book to shade the light from the lamp so no one could see her in the mid night.Granny swear rat was biting up the dumplings.
