Yes two together is better...we had a Maltese for three + years and then bought home a bischon poo. They were best friends and we loved them both equally..Our Maltese got sick with cancer and she was just shy of 13 years when diagnosed with cancer and soon afterwards she was so miserable we could let her suffer....that was June 2016...our Bischon is now 15 and he enjoys being the one and only so that is how we left it....but growing up together was truly a beautiful thing...blessings to your family and your beautiful fur babies.💜

Of course 2 are better. We had a yorkie and six months later we got a rescue maltese. They zoom, play, fight, all friendly like. They adore each other and our neighbours love watching them zoom in the garden. We have a island in the kitchen so you can imagine the fun there. Always the yorkie in front with the maltese closely behind. Go for it people. 🐾

I think having 2 dogs is the best thing. Mom's and dad's worry about their baby being alone, and now Xanti has a brother and best friend and won't be alone anymore. They are very happy together ❤ and obviously they love each other.

I have always had two or more dogs until now. I’m 86 and my little one is 12. I really want to get a companion but it has to be the right one. He has to pick it out and I think it should probably be at least 4 years old. He loves being with me but puts on his shivering act when I have to leave him. Time will tell.

Hola!! Varias reflexiones. No entiendo tratar a un perro como a un niño... Es un perro, precioso pero ni un peluche ni un niño, un animalito nada más. En cuanto a tener dos perros me parece bien, si queréis y podéis permitirnoslo es perfecto. Yes, I like having more than one dog (As a matter of fact, I have 4, and 3 of them are from shelters). Having more than one keeps them from being lonely when I'm away from home. They keep each other company and can play together to occupy themselves. I simply LOVE dogs and always have. 💗

Your boys are adorable but I don't agree that if we love our dog we should get a second one!! It depends on many things: space, economics, the personality of the dog etc. I'm so glad it worked for you and Xanti but for my rescue doggie it would be the worst thing. She is happiest being the only dog, having lived on the streets and fought for her survival. Now she doesn't have to fight because she has everything she needs for herself. Sadly she is not happy around other dogs, her ears go back, her eyes become wary and her tail, which is usually up and waggy, goes down between her legs. Her happiness is paramount and she is happiest alone. I wish she had friends but I cannot force that on her. She's just special as she is. 😊

Ah! Je vois qu'il y a du progrès Yumi mange dans sa gamelle. Il n'embête plus Xanti. Xanti sait se faire comprendre avec son regard. Il ne lui manque que la parole. Il est plein d'énergie. Juste une petite remarque si je puisse me permettre. En regardant cette vidéo et d'autres on voit Xanti s'ennuyait surtout quand vous préoccupé par le travail. Et de le voir s'amuser avec d'autres chiens ceci vous avez donné l'idée d'adopter un autre petit chien. Sauf que c'était un amusement partagé d'une courte durée. Une fois rentrée à la maison Xanti aimait bien retrouver ses jouets et des fois sa tranquillité. Il avait ses habitudes et tout vôtre amour. Ma question est: est ce que Xanti ne se mettrait pas à l'écart par rapport à Yumi? De toute façon ils sont tous les deux terriblement adorables. 💕💕💕💕

I have been following you for some time and quite surprised that you got another dog. I thought you are starting your own breeding “station”. 😺 I am not sure if having two dogs is necessary for the happiness of the first one. Apparently for dogs is also good that they have time for themselves sometimes ( i also work from home and my pup will be mostly with me all the time). But I can see that there are def pros in some situations that a dog have another’s dog company but also it takes twice more attention of the owners, i would be curious how your relationship copes with that? Do you have time for yourselves even without dogs? Or are they with you literally (and I mean literally) all the time and you are both completely happy with that? Please don’t get me wrong i am getting a maltese puppy in May (she was born just last week 😍) with my partner, and although i have been wanting this dog for years and I already love her to the moon and back, my partner still will be my priority. Dog is an addition to our little family of two and I hope it will grow even further one day but with a human baby (if I ever feel ready...). I don’t think there are any hard rights or wrongs. It is just interesting to have a conversation about these things. :) Absolutely no offence to your lifestyle 🙏. Yours pups are as sweet as possible 😍.
