@@ellentran96 Exactly, I have the skirt. And like I said, I wear a white long half slip with it. The pocket are not visible at all. As a matter of fact someone commented on how they loved the skirt but wish it had pockets. Have a lovely day.
I'm quite short (162) cm, so I have to be very very careful about width of the shoulders. Otherwise I look small and fat, even I'm slim. In 80s we compensated shoulder pads with "big" hair, so that the head doesn't look small and funny.
My question is where would I wear such an outfit to? It’s not work appropriate so not work… it’s too casual for dinner but also too smart to wear to lunch or for running errands with having heels and all. It’s so contrasting i cant make sense of it.
Some shoulder pads are fine but when it LOOKS like you diy’ed if, it’s not fine… 😬 (sorry for honesty… tying to be helpful for people out there that may not know)
Sorry but love the linen core slip skirt over the gathered waist skirt you are wearing, I personally feel it look more put together and less fussy being simple at the waist! Just my preference 🤷♀️
'Shoulder pads to make you feel more fashion forward and modern'. Ma'am, shoulder pads are the definition of the 80s; nothing more fashion backwords than that.
Anne Taylor in Chicago just put everything in the Michigan Ave store on sale for half price just BEFORE July 4 a day before. For once they had my size in the basics I needed to stock up on: high quality fabric bermudas like not quite as overwhelmingly wide on my petite frame and perhaps 3in shorter, perfect at my height, I bought navy,,beige, white the fabric really is a dream they are so elevated. I found a beautiful cream trouser too. And Uniglo had two wide skirt sleeveless dresses ivory and navy (of course the quality is not Ann Taylor but quite thick and substantial).Perfect for my Theatrical Romamtic body. Also this week Zara dropped prices on their cropped blazers I bought beige, white, and a blue casual type tweed blazer. I wore one of the blazers, shorts combos last night to a skyscraper rooftop lakefront July 4 on the 3rd fireworks show at a friend's...a very chic outfit. So happy with my summer sales finds, the jackets can go into fall and even winter where I live the rest of the year in the tropics. I spent alot of time thinking about wardrobe needs and planning to put in new styles to refresh my classic summer wardrobe.
Wow, great shopping - you did well. I had to comment because you mentioned Chicago and Ann Taylor. I'm from Chicago and my mother and I loved Ann Taylor. I moved to England in 1990 so those were the good times to remember, thank you! 😀
Please do a video on stylist black trousers during the summer !! It s quite difficult for me to pick black during the summer, I always end up in my white trousers 😂
Lydia can you please tell me what size you ordered in the white skirt. I was finally able to try mine on. I ordered a M but it is huge. I'm not sure if I should order a S or an XS. I'M 5,'6",weigh 137 and my measurements are 36",28",36". Ty,!
This is so rude. She is not a bean pole she’s a person. And she’s obviously presenting her own style and she’s around 5’6 so yeah it might not suit your body type. You can look for a channel specializing in small women.
