uh 1: eat less. Most important part 2: balance it with exercise (the more you move, the more you can eat) and 3: genetics can play a role. But n.1 is the most important and obvious answer. It's the amount you eat. Under a week/month.
For me it's instantly +5kg🙂 All my friends have lost the weight they gained in lockdown just by going to university and colleges regularly. And then there's me who still looks like a potato🙂
I write or type out all the meals I’m thinking about before I sleep. When I hit the grocery store I always buy a couple items for the future until only the fresh ingredients are left. That way when why I’m inspired I have nearly all I need if not everything. Not to mention meal prepping.
Are we twins? I do similar wirh grocery shopping, i do a meao plan, order what I jeed then loose the plan or dint feel like making a pkanned meal and have a collection of odd ingredients to tey to make into .... Something, before it goes bad.
I’m Sicilian American and my grandpa used to babysit me a lot because I got sick a lot as a kid and he made me Eggs in a Basket. I forgot how to say it in Italian. He got Italian bread and take out the middle and he would spread garlic butter w herbs on both sides and he’d put it in the pan and crack an egg in the middle and put roasted red peppers in the pan to heat them up and then he put it on top of the egg n bread and give it to me.
@flora hey. So I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I think it's just strips of beef that are cut up to look like bacon, just for fun. Since it's beef, and she wouldn'tuse a haram ingredient, I'd say it's halal.
I made these! But I did something a little different. Instead of garlic butter on the bottom, I put herb cream cheese and then sat that in a big pile of shredded cheese. The result was still crunchy cheese on the bottom, but also a really creamy, melty layer too. I also topped this with Hollandaise sauce. Definitely second the tip you gave on using smallish eggs. I might also suggest you strain your eggs through a mesh strainer so the most watery parts of the whites are removed and you have a more concentrated egg. Plus it’s easier to pour in!
As patronising as this may be:- portion control(self control to avoid over indulging - this tends to be most peoples issues), genetics, physical activity + overall balance. You can eat anything you're not intolerant or allergic to if you keep a balance and time foods around physical activity and avoid consuming heavier meals close to bed, get a sufficient balance across all macros & eat according to your personal stats+activity levels. Probiotics really help too and sufficient water intake every day. P.S. I'm a sports nutritional advisor and coach so I couldn't help but comment below 😅🙏🏼
@@amoon.93 Yeah thanks for the tips. I’ve never struggled with my weight until recently when I had to stay home more due to the pandemic. I feel like I developed unhealthy eating habits like stress eating especially sweets 😕I’m slowly learning to exercise more (which is getting easier) and smaller portions!
@@alysiam3559 It happens, try not to beat yourself up about it and focus on what you can do to help yourself. I have the opposite issue of not eating enough for my goals, weight, height and training as I have digestive issues resulting in loss of appetite and it's a nightmare sometimes. What you'll probably have to do in your situation is retrain your body and mind with behaviour change methods like self coach and push yourself to stick to something realistic for yourself that you can do consistently for atleast 4-6 weeks until it becomes part of your routine. It sounds like your body is releasing ghrelin more often too making you hungry more frequently because you got into the routine of eating even when you're not hungry (as a form or comfort) giving you the urge to reach out for food/snacks and since you've indulged in sugar for a while , your body is now running on it. Sugar itself is highly addictive and withdrawal tends to lead to agitation , headaches/migraines, cravings etc. as you probably know, and you're literally getting a dopamine hit everytime!! It sort of comes down to us needing to take control back over our bodies before they take full control over us , and to have self discipline which can be learnt. I tend to live by "get comfortable being uncomfortable" since change won't always be easy but it's necessary for long term gain and success. You don't need to deprive yourself but maybe try small things like setting a goal of drinking a certain amount of water every day first thing in the morning , get a good 500ml-1L in , sip slowly and wait a good hour or so before going near coffee for example, and if you have mad sugar cravings, find healthier alternatives to combat this as a starting point i.e. sugar free alternatives, you can find flavour drops from companies like My Protein & they're really good tbh&using honey instead of standard sugar. Going for fruit instead of chocs / sweets, yes they still contain sugar BUT they tend to have additional micronutrients and the fibre helps in filling you up more. Timing high GI carbs around exercise is also a good idea so your body is using it for fuel vs storing it in excess resulting in fat gain. Start small and you'll get there! Consider the GI(glycemic index) score on the carbs you eat in general to avoid spiking blood sugar too often, opt for low to medium for the most part and this will help you to gradually balance out your blood sugar levels. Fill most of your diet with whole foods and don't deprive yourself, maybe initially be stricter until you have self control to find the balance & if you need supplements i.e. probiotics which I highly recommend or natural supplements specific to helping people with sugar cravings(there are some out there i just can't remember the names of them right now so maybe research) & to help with appetite. You could also get hormones checked and look into controlling the triggers and finding a healthier alternative i.e. stressed? Go for a run or to the gym to release the tension instead. And you could also consider removing the foods you reach out to from your shelves until you have control over the cravings, try visualization typically used in therapy to imagine the future and yourself to help push you and motivate you, and perhaps listen to hypnotherapy audio as you sleep specific to your issue and keep trying with it to tap into the subconcious. Again, I apologise for my loooong message and if I sound patronising ! Hopefully there's something I've mentioned that may just help you :) we just need to find a balance and learn to love ourselves along the journey & along the way ^_^
@@amoon.93 Aw I’m sorry you struggle with that! I know everyone’s on their own journey of where they want to be. No worries I appreciate all the info! I’ll try probiotics I actually love kombucha but idk if that’s the same haha. I’ve been harder on myself because my wedding is in a month and I’m not where I want to be. But thank you for the kind words and being so encouraging!
I can't believe how this cooks the egg fry the bacon and toast the bagel all at once with zero clean up!! That's my favorite type of recipe! Can you please post more that are this easy😭
@Shamim Ahmed you're welcome. The grease proof paper which is parchment paper is a little different but it is used for baking as well I don't know if the grease proof paper will prevent the cheese from sticking since it doesn't have the bit of wax on it like the wax paper does but you can test it out put a little cheese on the parchment paper and put it in the oven and see if it'll stick or not.
she said beef but turkey bacon is much better than beef. i tried beef bacon after watching one of her videos. i didn’t like it. plus it had soooo many calories. turkey bacon has less calories by far
