Hello, I would like to thank you for the great review. I've seen it a few weeks ago, when I was looking for a quiet(!) ultrasonic cleaner. When I found your video, I couldn't believe "my ears". I thought, it must be your microphone, but no... I've purchased the exact same model and it's true, it is very quiet compared to (probably) any other product I've seen (on RU-vid). I haven't had the opportunity to make many tests (yet), but I like the performance so far. I was afraid, it would be too big, but I think the tank has the right size. So all in all I'm very happy. Thank you once again for the video! Have a great day.

If you have a coffee pot or microwave, add a little boiling water to your hot tap water and it’ll get to 50 C very quickly.

Good review, but I was kinda disappointed that it didn't clean better, especially the pliers handle. Edit: I bought one of these and I'm very pleased. It's quiet & works well. One thing that wasn't mentioned, is that this unit has a cooling fan for the inside electronics, something that cheaper cleaners don't have and a potential source of future problems when the electronics overheat. I've seen reviews of other brands that have cutouts in the circuit board and case for a fan, but they don't have a fan.

Its not supposed to remove the grease. Thats the "detergent"/"chemical" work. Its just supposed to dislodge dirt/debris from surfaces and small holes.

I've used LA's Totally Awesome in my old machine. I'll try the SG as well with my new machine

Would the results not have been better if you had put the items directly into the tub instead of in the jars?

According to the research I've done the sonic waves travel directly through the glass. Though logically I would assume there is some loss.

@@UnboxingNStuff it's better to use ziplock bags or similar, from my observations they have higher efficiency of cleaning vs jars

🎉Good review. I was especially happy to see a test of a 6L machine. I was disappointed in the performance though - specifically I thought that the inside of the items would be as clean as the outside. Perhaps drying/wiping did a lot of the actual cleaning. Isn’t the whole point of ultrasonic to clean hard to reach places - I can clean the outside by hand in minutes. Any thoughts on why the inside surface appears less clean than the outside?

You just need to position the part so the opening is facing down so the sound waves can reach the surface to clean it. The transducer is mounted to the bottom of the tank and fires straight up, so whichever surface is facing down gets the best cleaning. This is a downside of all cheaper USC's, easiest fix is to just flip the part 1/2 through the cleaning cycle.

I have never seen anyone yet clean the items first then use an ultrasonic cleaner . I think that would produce a much cleaner item when finished .

i don't think it's unreasonable to either before, doing a light physical cleaning to agitate / loosen gunk, or running the ultrasonic once, doing a light wipe down/agitation, then doing a short ultransonic again to get optimal results.

57 minutes for a 6L ultrasonic to get 50C with a 300 watt power element, for $230. First off, using a calculator, I found that the effective wattage is 214 Watts assuming it took 57 minutes. In addition, this makes me want to buy a 1500 watt electric kettle since it would take a mind blowing 9 minutes to heat up the water... I dunno if paying a premium for DK Sonic is worth it. Sure it has Half Wave, Full Wave, Degas.. but there are other brands out there either better quality, or alot cheaper to buy.. like iSonic, Crest, Branson, Vevor, etc.

You used Simple Green in one jar and Simple Green HD in the other. What's the difference? What would you use if you wanted to remove grease? And what about rust? And would you always use a 50/50 mix?
@UnboxingNStuff
@UnboxingNStuff Год назад
Hd is a stronger solution. Neither are rust removers. I would just mix according to the instructions my bottles were both concentrates. Thanks for the comment!

Hello I've bought a DK sonic dk210s it''s the same as the video but in 2L version. It worked well for 45 min but it shut up from itself and didn't start anymore. I had to send it back to amazon for refund. I don't know if yours last ?

Good review. One unsolicited tip is to try to eliminate”actually,” “go ahead and,” “kind of” and “sort of” from your vocabulary. It’s not only unnecessary and wordy, it also make you sound unsure of yourself and that what you’re saying is not completely true Example (completely made up): “I’m going to go ahead and actually brush this to sort of clean it up.” vs. “I’m going to clean this up.” Just a suggestion. Almost everyone, including me, can improve with this.

True for many parts however more delicate or intricate parts have an obvious advantage with a sonic cleaner.
