thank you for another nice video. I, being 74, am coming to Cebu in February from Texas and plan on settling there. I'm coming there to live a nice life in a beautiful country with friendly people. I'm not looking for a young Filipina as a mate, for all I want is to have a place of my own, enjoy walking around Cebu, and even have a little cat for a companion. The more interactions, major disagreements may arise. The question is how easy these disagreement can reconcile between the 2 individuals.

You really have to study the geography of the Philippines. Haven't you noticed that the majority of filipinas are coming from these 2 main islands Visayas and Mindanao? They are also the islands where mostly Filipinos working abroad. WHY? Because many of these island's provinces are less developed and lacked of education.

Ive started looking online since i gave up on any girl in the west 15 years ago, and discovering filipino culture last year. Ive had no problem finding genuine girls, even getting a visit from a girl this summer. She's an OFW and makes a little more than most in the ph and decided to take a vacation in Norway.

Pushing the services of an overpriced dating site as an affiliate doesn't present an unbiased view of why it is ok to choose that service. If men are so lonely & desperate to find "love" and are willing to waste up to $2500 USD subscribing to CF then by all means waste that money, but just know that there are still a lot of scammers on that site as well ... I know from experience. To find a woman you can use any dating site or just use FB. Most times you will see the same women on multiple sites so, they are all the same at the end of the day. Just use logic and discernment and save your money for a plane ticket!!

I should've clarified that this phenomenon applies more to girls in the province, if you are in Cebu city and you're using one of the common apps there are endless girls that will want to meet you right away. And of course there are girls in the province that will also meet you. The point of sharing this phenomenon that I've experienced many times is just to share that there are many good Filipinas that fall into this category and are just very cautious. Because it's so easy for many foreigners to 'hook up' in Cebu city for example this is well known to those girls and that's why they avoid guys that are here. They figured once you are already here you've had your fun and they just want a guy that doesn't even have an opportunity to do that. the onething thats not discussed enough is health , ive seen many come to philippines not understanding if they in bad health this might not be a good choice . the heat is going to be a issue , if someone isnt healthy enough to walk much and taking medications that require you to not get hot then you will have problems in the philippines . this will also play into the cost of what it does to your budget if you require aircon alot or always bcoz of the heat . so many cant sleep at night bcoz of the heat bcoz they lived in places were aircon wasnt necessary at night or wasnt as hot and humid as the philippines . the philippines has no seasons , its summer year round and humid , with occasioanlly rainy days but still humid . so those wanting to come to philippines and live very cheap on fixed income might be shocked .when they start looking for a place to live that will be comfortable to them and have the amenities they want it could quickly become out of your budget . the health care isnt great and the health care facilities that are good cost money , they want money and if you on fixed income you wont be able to afford it if you have serious health issue . so best to look into health insurance that will be accepted by the best hospitals in the philippines if you want quality healthcare . ive seen men come and quickly get into trouble financially bcoz they needed a place to live with aircon , furnished and with things they were accustom to in USA . then they also didnt like the food and would try to eat like they did back in there home country or eating out in restaurants with western style cuisine . all those things are going to cost more and not be as cheap as you think not to mention the medications you may need daily might not be available or the price you expected . ive met foreigners before that were in philippines and they were wanting to leave after just a few months bcoz they didnt realize how much the cost would actually be and the heat was hard for them . ive also known men die in philippines before they could even get to hospital bcoz ambulances dont arrive fast and the traffic so bad it could take too long .you cant exxpect the things from your country to be same or even close to the same in philippines , they tend to be slow doing anythiing and late for work or appointments . they would even joke about this themselves saying PAL which i thought they meant philippine airlines but they joke and said it was filipinos always late , lmao . its common to see foreigners losing there calm in philippines in malls , restaraunts , etc bcoz they get annoyed with slow service . so yes philippines can fun and exciting , it also can be a nightmare if you dont under the reality of life here in the philippines and you not going to change it you just have to accept it and stay calm . but health and the heat can have a big effect on you and your budget if you come here expecting things to be like back home . these guys saying they live great on $800 dollars a month not being honest how they able to do it and most will not want to live like that .

Why not let a man be a man. He may have been married and divorced and is looking overseas for a new and hopfully final love. The filipina would need to understand and respect where he is coming from. They are both from very different cultures and finding a good balance needs to happen. Great video...and timely for me. Just last night I saw a RU-vid video of a guy interviewing a BEAUTIFUL Filipina province girl who spoke great English and seemed very sweet. I seriously considered reaching out to her on Instagram (it was easy to find her page with her first and middle name and "Philippines"). But the reality is that she isn't who I am looking for. 1. She is only 18. 2. She talked about liking to go to the club and do shots with her three roommates. That isn't what I want. She still wants to sow her wild oats and I am done with that life. I'm 59, but am fit and everyone says I look about 15 years younger. So I can get a date here in the west (obviously I can't pull an 18-year-old though 😂). The problem I have is in finding a woman I WANT to date. When I travel to the Philippines next year, God willing, it isn't to find a girl who loves doing shots with her girlfriends at the local bar. I can see where you are coming from and there may be some truth in what you say, but the chances of dealing with a Scammer are certainly real with ANY online relationship. WORST ADVICE EVER Explain this to me. How is it even remotely possible to understand if the two of you are made for each other and have chemistry if you are chatting online and have not yet met in person. Interesting perspective. I mean, like the opposite of what I've been hearing is recommended for guys. I signed up to CF last month and could only last two or three days. Too many women and then I thought LDR was dumb (plus, what about scammers?). My intuition is my strength so I had assumed that I needed to the face to face. And being on the ground proves I am for real. Interesting that you say they see someone who might just be there to play. Is this what I intended to do? Am I really going to give up Texas and start my early retirement? I'll consider your advice to run the spreadsheet and tally all the details. Gonna wait a while longer before I actually sign up again though. I would really like to see a video on the costs that no one seems to cover. Transportation, i.e. car scooter, motorcycle. Insurance costs for vehicles and housing whether it be a renters policy or a homeowners policy. Can foreigners own a firearm? And any additional hidden costs. Taxes? I don’t like meeting Filipinas online for the same reasons they don’t like foreigners who are currently in their country. I would prefer to meet a lady through a referral of a Filipino friend. Online dating tells me she has several fish on the hook. She may have personally met them already and just shopping around. Online dating is a no no for me.

I met my filipina wife on Date in Asia in 2008 and the first question she asked me was if I have ever been to Thailand. I said no, so she said she would like to know more about me. If I would have been to Thailand, she said she wouldn't have nothing to do with me. That was 16 years ago.

Hi Chad, so I have been to the Philippines 5 times now and I’m going back in September to be with my LDR that I met in January. So I was very aware of the “red flag” bit, but you know what? I found myself inventing red flags. The culture is different and especially if you’re in the west and she’s in the Philippines. Also if your LDR does not have real good English skills there’s gonna be a real problem, even with video chats. I have come very close to breaking it off with a wonderful woman who has had a bad relationship experience with a foreigner in her past because of several misunderstandings. We are in a very good place now and we are both really looking forward to September. But the gist of this is not just looking for red flags but inventing them.

Chad, this video is truth! Last year I had not a clear plan but the start of one. I had to start over @60. I did a lot of traveling and soul searching met many women in different countries that were beautiful and young and tried dating apps and services in the US. Several were good candidates but in the end I felt as though I was settling for what was convenient. I found Christian Filipina and always thought Asian women were beautiful so I signed up. OMG it was like turning on a firehouse, and there services are amazing. I found a match I think and we have been chatting at least 2x daily for 4 months. This Video is the reverse advise given by most of the old Philippine Vloggers. Everyone says to do the boots on the ground and meet them in person and spend time with them. Yes there are good girls online also but there are definitely a very high percentage of professional scammers as well. One thing I always think about is that what if I do a LDR for a few month and once we meet, it is all awkward and there is no connection, I have wasted all that time, energy and most likely money. Understand that it usually takes 5 years to get over or past a long term relationship. Whether it ended by death or divorce, if you start a relationship before then, it may not work out because you jumped for what was available, you are on the rebound, etc;. Liked talking to my wife online first, finding out what she was like and learning about her. We talked for just over a year before I met her in person. Did not want to go to UAE to meet her, had to wait till she went back to Cebu the following summer. It was hard to find the right girl online. The pay service mentioned above may be better though. Chad, Enjoyed your video and topic. Some of the best videos I’ve seen on the Philippines are interviews done with Filipinas about their life and struggles. I’ve been on Christian Filipina the past two months and it is difficult to avoid the few scammers on the site. CF does a good job to remove profiles that are questionable. I have 25 yrs experience conducting interviews and investigations with a LE agency and it took me several days to assess the Filipinas were not genuine. I can see why normal guys fall for their charm and schemes. Keep living your dream.

Thanks thats something I already knew but there are plenty of guys including Vloggers been living there for like since the Dinosaurs were still roaming that are totally convinced they are experts in dating advice but in fact they are not. You can meet people in person or online. Been guys to pull them out of a bar but the odds are against u. Online dating isn’t that hard and yes if u spend a week doing it u should meet someone who isn’t looking for gold or fun. In fact I found them regularly. Of course there was days I’d get scammers or even naked pictures I didn’t ask for and never ask for. Sometimes it takes a week to realize she ain’t for u but online dating is very effective and these girls can be serious.
