When you're completely alone in the vast remote wilderness, in the middle of nowhere, it's really reassuring to know that there's video cameras filming!
Nonsense. The little boy has the right reaction, not the mom. Tons of videos of ppl living out in the woods with friendly relationships with the local bears. By all means be cautious with a new bear to make sure it isn't mean, but most of them are just curious and playful, and once you establish who's boss with them the same as you'd do with any dog, nothing to fear.
I would not laugh where there’s a cub there’s a mother bear and they will fight a male bear to the death, you people don’t or have not spent any time in the woods ,even the smallest of creatures can end your life( for example a baby copperhead has no idea when to stop pumping venom ,most people don’t make it through it)where I live the hospitals do not store anti-venom so you have to be life flighted to the nearest big town .you have a 1in 10 chance of dying.
A 100 lbs bear is as dangerous as a thousand lbs bear and black or brown they are predators and if hungry or pissed off their all unpredictable and dangerous
No matter what you say or what you do, it is always the bear's decision whether you get attacked or not. If they really want to they will, unless you have enough fire power to stop one.
No it’s not. Ancient Christian scriptures say “ if you pray to Jesus sinceeely, bears will become terrified of you. It does. I read it. And When Jesus walked the earth bears worshipped him. So what are you saying? Truly?
This video is sensationalist nonsense. With rare exception, every bear is described as a "massive black bear!" even if it's clearly a juvenile or a brown bear. Black bears do attack on occasion but they're typically docile and skittish. The footage of the guy climbing the tree looked very suspicious. Who was filming it 🤔? It looks like a trained bear following his trainer up the tree just a bit. Horse shit video.
That's the thing, until they don't. I've encountered a number of bears while growing up in BC. Not one of them ran. They usually look a bit curious for a bit and then mosey on.
My neighbor scared them a couple of weeks ago because they were in her garbage. They ran into my yard ,where I was. Mama and what looked like 2 almost yearling cubs. One triedto run up,the nearest tree ,Mama and the other one kept running by me into woods. The one about the feet up the tree jumped down and almost landed on me. I just moved quickly and it ran to join mama.
First of all, never run from a bear. Like most predators, that triggers predator behavior. And bears an run 5 TIMES FASTER than you can. In 3 strides, a black bear can be running at 35 miles an hour. T have seen it with my own eyes. They are no joke, and, while rare, if a black bear attacks a human, they will eat you. Not kill and eat you. They don't care if you're dead. Very unpleasant. But black bears are not that hard to scare away. You have to scare the bear. Wave your arms. Yell. If the bear makes contact with you, you need to fight for your life. Do not try to be their friend. They don't have friends. And never, NEVER, feed a bear, or leave food out for a bear. Never. That's the worst thing you can do to a bear, and to any humans who that bear will ever contact, thinking of them as a food source. They are naturally afraid of humans, unless they think of humans as a food source.
Your comment is very long and I started reading it and realized that I didn't need to it's all common sense advice that can be found in lots of other RU-vid videos.
I’m a pretty fast runner so they’re probably only twice as fast as me. But still you’re right you should never run, not even the fastest person on the planet can outrun a bear.
I hike in places like this myself - haven’t seen any bears while hiking but plenty of sign. I carry a Redhawk in a caliber that begins with 4 along with hardcast ammunition to go with it. You CANNOT let a bear get this close, people. Scenes of the bear “checking you out” - yeah, that’s right checking you out to see about a possibility of food you have or eating YOU. If a bear isn’t running away after a second or two it’s a threat. If it comes towards me, there’s no option but one (for me).
I have a cabin in bear country and the first time I saw one I wasnt scared for some reason he walked right passed me while I was in the pool but afterwards I realized that I had no protection with me so now bear spray or a gun wherever I go
I am stupid so I guess that commentator is right on with me and about 75% of the people in NYC. The stupids in NYC and California need to unite! Look around we run EVERYTHING!
Hahaha this commentator goes as far as to insult my color blindness. He did say it was a black bear correct? My brain was in pain from laughing so hard.
good video, even with the mistakes. You can't be calling everything a black bear. The bear that treed the guy is a grizzly and the bear chasing the boat is a grizzly/brown bear as well. Then you do it againt at 28:44. That's also a brownie.
some black bears have brown fur, you can tell the difference on if it's a grizzly or a black bear by looking at the shape of the ears. Also grizzlies have prominent humps on their backs compared to black bears
Bears have always been my number one fear and being attacked by one is the reoccurring nightmares I've had since I was a small child. I have never understood why I had such an intense fear as I grew up in a city and had never seen one up close in real life til I was a teenager staying in the PA Poconos mountains with friends. I observed the black bears climbing trees from the trailers back windows. Maybe I was mauled to death by one in a previous life ? Lol
@@janwolf843 Yes, when I say 'BROWN BEAR' I specifically was referring to 'GRIZZLY BEAR'! Not the COLOR of the bear in the clip! Grizzly bears are from the BROWN BEAR SPECIES known for their distinctive shoulder hump!
What a birthday bash gift that little boy got. His mom got Yogi the Bear to show up😂🎉 Happy birthday son I told you you were in for a real surprise🎉🎉🤣🤣🥳
Yeah I've had two close black bear encounters and both times they were calm and curious. I've heard brown bears attack a lot quicker but they don't always play for keeps. A black bear rarely attacks but if he does he usually plays for keeps
It was so annoying and at times the same clip was being repeated 6 or 7 times but just showing it from a different angle🙄 It was why I gave up watching it.
The clip at 6:28 though. Dude literally takes on a bear to save his puppies life. So much respect and I feel you! If his pup hadn't been there, Dude would have run off in fear, no doubt. That's when instincts kick in. Fight or flight and when the one you love is on the line, it's fight no matter what.
@@ethandyer43 The advise recommended is talk to the Bear in a calm manner, are these people out of their mind, he sees lunch & you want to talk to the Bear in a calm manner.😂
I'm laughing at some of these "MASSIVE" and "COLOSSAL" bears!!! 😆😅🤣😂 I have seen two bears in my lifetime in the wild...one was a small black bear in the blue ridge mountains, the other one right down the road from my home...and at first I thought it was a COW in the road...until it moved....NOPE...a LARGE black bear. NOT massive...and NOT colossal...but BOTH were beautiful. Both times I was in the car...so there was no panic...no need to climb a tree. But I DO look both ways before I step out my back door everyday...LOL! We have them everywhere around our farm.
At age 15 I was primitive camping with my 2 sisters and their families. We were in deep woods along a river bank. It stormed and started pouring rain. My brother and I were sleeping in a two man tent and water started leaking in and under our tent. My sister said to leave our wet things and come in the bigger 6 person tent where everyone had went into. We didn’t zip the small tent closed when we left. After listening to the rain pouring for two hours I absolutely had to pee. My sister unzipped the tent for me to go out. It was pretty dark outside. As I was returning to the tent I passed by our smaller one and thought the wind must have picked up b/c the sides of our small tent were moving pretty much. I walked by the small tent just to come face to face with a huge black bear coming out of the tent! I screamed, my sister ran outside in the rain, guns were coming out, you name it! It got bad really quick. For the rest of the night we all had to lay on our sides to be packed in the bigger tent together like sardines..9 of us totaled in a 6 person tent. I just wanted to go home. I was never scared in the woods until that night. 😮
If I had to have anyone with me during any animal close encounter I would pick one of my brothers or sisters from Australia for sure ❤ their voice would make me feel safer by itself
I've seen black bears up north in Wisconsin , they are harmless if left alone. I can't believe any hunter would want to kill such a beautiful creature.
The one at the 20:00 mark was a momma protecting her cubs. You can see the quite massive cubs in the background as the mom chases the boat. They beautiful 🥰🥰
@jasonanderson5034 Calm down there, bud. I'm sure you're fully aware that comments on youtube are not chronological. I have no intention on scrolling through thousands of comments to see if someone has posted a comment.
I think you said, as in the first clip, to avoid direct eye contact w/ the bear(s), probably w/ all animals as well. If so for me, that would be difficult the closer they'd come... always keeping a close eye expecting a lunge forward or charge. I believe that what he did.. saved his life.. very tense. thks...

Im here after hearing that women prefer being in the woods with a bear rather than a man. Maybe the bear reminds them of Teddy Ruxpin or Winnie the Pooh.
2:27 lol, the bear did not "give up" because it couldn't reach him. It just got bored and didn't want to put in the effort. They can climb. That said, I don't think the bear wanted to eat him. I think it was mostly curious. They know we have food.
in the very first footage, the two bears were scared by that man's radioactive balls All considered, a very good video with lots of unknown contents and various situations Thank you 👍
If you gotta take bear spray, maybe you shouldn't be in the area, i myself have to work at a cabin. Hate the anxiety just walking up the road to it . Bear and Mtn lions scare me
I had a mountain lion randomly cross the mountainous dirt road I was on while leaving work. At first I thought it was a lost dog because the coloration matched my boxer potty mix of fawn and white. And then it turned its head and I see the face and sticky up ears. 😳
@@MearasRex oh my hope you got a picture at least. Glad you were in a vehicle! I look up and around when I arrive but I'm inside 7 hours and can't tell what came around in that time so scarier when I leave 😑
uhhh is that ment to be impressive big cats can do that suff to .... primates can do more humans can do more talk to me when bears make nuclear bombs that can travel from one side of the world to another at a click of a button
@@jasonanderson5034 I never said other animals couldn’t do it too but bears are much stronger than big cats monkeys and humans and what do nuclear bombs have to do with anything if you have an encounter with a bear you wouldn’t have one on you and they also damage the environment and kill everything in its radius if anything nuclear bombs just made humanity split apart even more than they already were
If you encounter a bear, don't run away or go near it. Stand tall and spread your hands outward to make yourself look bigger. If you are in a group, tell one of your friends to sit immediately on your shoulder and lift him/her up, stand and spread both you and your friends' hands wide open and wave, this way you will look even more bigger, the waving 4 hands will help to look more intimidating. Hold your ground and keep an eye contact until the bear leaves. If the bear still attacks you: never expose your belly/abdomen and front of your neck/throat, go to crouching/prostate position with head tucked between your knees to expose your back, better if you have a backpack. If it gets access to your abdomen, it will immediately disembowel you and you will not be able to escape when your entrails are all hanging out and your death will be extremely painful. If it attacks your back and if you are lucky, the bear will just take your backpack, if not, then maybe some of your back muscles will be injured/eaten but still you might have a chance to escape assuming your upper body might be still functioning. Always remember wild bears are not pets and you are a meal. Some bears take some time to decide (by sniffing, licking) to how to eat you, others don't.
if u have a chainsaw should u turn it on and run a the bear u thinjk that woudl scare it before the bear camme close i ahd the chainsaw off i wanan know cuz i always carry a chainsaw with me in both my hands eveyr wwhere i go
I didn't find this video scary because most of the bear were young. The bear, however, that had treed the foreigner was not a black bear as described, he was too big to be a black bear. It was either a grizzly or brown bear.

It's a nightly /daily occurrence for us. We're in Connecticut, right outside of Hartford. You would never think we have bears. Lots of them. Beautiful town and nearly every week a bear appears. They don't attack, sometimes they dont even do anything but continue their own business. I think it's cool. My wife, not so much.
Jodi, no need to apologize for a long reply. I live in South Lake Tahoe. In the Sierra mountains. We dont have grizzlies so honestly the only thing I know about them is that they have a hump on their 11:34 back behind the head. I’ve seen, heard and read so many stories about grizzlies. That’s why I assumed they were aggressive. Then again any mama bear can be aggressive when babies are involved. With my encounters with our beautiful black bears here in Tahoe, they are scaredy-cats. In the 30 years I’ve been in Tahoe I’ve never seen or heard of any around here being aggressive or attacking. They’re quite mellow and docile and unfortunately are becoming accustomed to being dumpster divers thanks to careless tourists leaving trash feeding them etc. I live on the edge of forestry land and a river is right behind me, therefore bears often saunter through my backyard and even walk along the walkway by my front door. I’ve had one actually push open my back door and come inside a couple summers ago. I followed one one day that was cruising through my back yard and he got so scared he climbed a tree with lighting speed and stayed up there into the evening as my neighbors and I watched him teetering on a limb about 70 feet up. Bears are the best tree climbers 👍🏼. That seems to be where they retreat to if they are frightened. FUN FACT. A bear can become pregnant with several babies, how many babies they actually give birth to is dependent on how many nutrients and how well they’ve fattened up and eaten for the winter. If it’s been a slim fall and they don’t have enough nutrients stored to sustain a pregnancy, they won’t have any cubs. But if the opposite they can have triplets and then some. The babies that don’t survive due to lack of nutrients are just reabsorbed into the body. Thank you for your information and enjoy your bears as I do ours.
Thank you so much for your response! It is really interesting to me to hear about your bears there! I am wondering if maybe the difference between our black bears being aggressive may have something to do with the fact that we have so many grizzly bears and maybe they have had to become aggressive to survive. I mean I really don’t know, but that would make sense. And with the wolves here and other animals that may attack them, maybe that might explain the aggressionIn our black bears. It is very interesting to me nonetheless. Also thank you so much for telling me about pregnancy and nutrition. I had never heard anything about that and it makes total sense!! I know having worked at the hospital and helping in many deliveries of babies, one of the doctors had told me that a lot of times that women miss Carrie, it’s natures way of saying something was wrong with the baby and it would be better not to continue the pregnancy, so it would make complete sense that if a mama bear nutritionally is not sound enough to carry Cubs or a certain amount of carbs, that nature would just take care of it. But I had never heard that and it’s very interesting to me.I find that so hilarious that you had a bear saunter into your house lol! Maybe he was looking for air conditioning lol! Thank you again so much for your information, it’s always interesting to me to get knowledge from other people and to even just hear other peoples perspectives.Thank you again and I will definitely enjoy our bears, I have not seen my first pair of the season yet, but others have and so I am looking forward to it. Have a wonderful spring and summer!
I don’t know who needs to know this, but the video where the guys climbing up the tree and the Bears just kind of tapping his toes. That is completely set up. That Has to be a pet bear.. I live in the woods, and I can promise you bears can fly up a tree faster than anything you’ve ever seen
Stay away far as possible if you see cubs anywhere near by you run as fast away. That's when you will seriously have problems with black, brown Pink and bear! I grew up with a cabin and bears always around!!
