Come here, stem-mammal! I wish to hug you! Yeah, I would totally die trying to hug a dimetrodon. My sail-backed buddy is a Permian critter and older than the dinosaurs, I wanna hug it!
It's also possible that it's not actually extinct. The Wollemi pine was thought to be extinct and only found in fossils until a park ranger in Australia stumbled upon a Grove of them deep in the Bush
Well, the possible Wollemi pine fossils that have been discovered all date to after the dinosaurs. Lepidodenron is much older, even predating the dinosaurs, so it's much less likely to still be alive as it would've had to survive 2-3 mass extinctions.
It's also similar to the Coelacanth. Was thought to have gone extinct during the Cretaceous. Then one day, a paleontologist was walking around a fish market in India and just saw one chilling in a tank. He immediately asked the fish merchant where the hell he got that fish, and he replies "we get those all the time". And it turns out they've just been chilling in the Indian Ocean all this time.
@@redeye4516 There's this game called "Fishing And Life" and you can fish a Coelacanth, there is either funny or random short description for each and every fish you find in the game. Your comment should've been that description.
It is worth mentioning that Lepidodendron fossils are so from so far back in time that any modern Lepidodendron woooould probably not be too similar to the extinct variety. Like, even the horseshoe crab has actually changed a fair amount, (different number of legs than they originally had, for example.)
If I found an actual living Lepidodendron tree, I'd immediately get skilled botanists to help preserve it. It'd be similar to the Wollemi Pine situation thought to be long extinct due to only having fossils to miraculously discovering a whole group of them growing in a ravine. Edit: Thanks for the many likes, guys
Imagine you're lost, walking through a forest. You close your eyes for a couple of seconds.... And suddenly, the forest is made of nothing but these trees. You know what they are. You know you need to wake up.
i can now see the difference between tiktok and youtube. On Tiktok he gets alot of hateful comments, like: "i did not order a yappuchino", "idksterling oiled up gyatt footage", "this video is trash, it just doesn't know it yet", meanwhile youtube's comments are filled with informational content and support.

The wake up part got me tensed, watching these types of vids at night finally has its positives. In just so tired and nearly falling asleep i barely react to anything to that i could remotely find scary.
@@Anti-Brainrot-etablishment I don’t know if you mean the Lepidodendron Tree or the Backrooms photo. But For the Tree, I think the video goes in depth enough. You see the Tree, something must have gone wrong with Time, you are now at the risk of Falling through Time across Time periods. For the Backrooms photo. I don’t think it started as a meme but rather some photo on 4Chan with an eerie description, then it got popular and made into something more.
@@Anti-Brainrot-etablishmentbro lives under a rock the back rooms is a creepy pasta basically where you are doomed to be in an endless maze-like area until you die
Something i found fascinating about archeology is that there was an era of only vegetation and trees. Just something about that gives me chills, seems horrifying, but also peaceful. And im not entirely sure why.
@@Miracle_musical_fan theres so many hoax news out there becarefull man keep ur mind safe from those hoax news search first if you think that news might be tru or just a hoax
All of the trees that they recorded were Pines or some other sort of conifer. They just lost a lot of their lower branches which gives them that umbrella-like shape seen in the extinct tree.
Pretty sure the one in this video is a Florida slash pine, they grown in such way to not have lower branches. They aren’t pyramid shaped like a lot of norther pines. Most pines I see in Florida aren’t pyramid shaped in their morphology with the exception being Norfolk Island pine but those aren’t native and technically aren’t a pine. :)
A few suggestions to improve your “WAKE UP” (I haven’t tested any if these but I assume it would work.): - Use a lower quality mic but add a bit of earrape and make it loud. - Film yourself saying it but cut the audio out and film yourself saying it again but really close to the mic. Put the audio of you being really close to the mic over you saying the word normally. (Sorry if that didn’t make sense.)
cool that people are talking about extinct trees and comparing them to similar plants. I personally like the Araucaria, they look a lot like some prehistorical trees, they're present here in Southern and South Brazil (also present in the rest of South America and some distant islands of Australia, they're apparently the national plant of Chile too).
If I remember right Araucaria is a weird coniferous tree because it is a pretty primitive one. Weirdly enough Ginkgo biloba is very primitive but looks pretty normal.
Seeing that tree just reminds me of a school project I had to do way back. I remember the teacher assigned all the different periods for us to do and I I remember some kid getting Jurassic and my immediate thought was, "How is that fair?" I got some other random one between now and Jurassic and this was in the early ages of the internet and I remember trying to do searches for it but the only results I was getting was that it existed and then it would give me everything for...Jurassic. Tried to find books...it was about that time I was like, wait. If a Fern existed in Jurassic, and it exists now, it also existed in my period too. So I just found everything that existed during Jurassic and was still alive today and put it in my period and finished my project. Stupid tree reminding me of that project lol.
I saw fossils of those during geology field camp. They're really easy to identify. Horsetails have existed for many millions of years too and used to be enormous.
One more thing, if you are actually seeing this tree, don’t worry, because you won’t have time to worry, because you’ll be dead. The lepidodendron tree was alive 359-299 million years ago, or just the end of the Triassic to the very beginning of the Jurassic period, which means the atmosphere will be impossible to survive in for longer than a few minutes, who knows though, maybe you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of an allosaurus before you suffocate to death
Pretty sure there was a lot of oxygen because of the weird things in the ocean that were photosynthesizing, plus there was tons of early land plants but the ocean makes more oxygen than the land even today. :)
@@SCPguy So it’s toxic because it oxidizes the body creating free radicals which further degrade a person? It seems to damage the nervous system the most? I’m sad that dragon flies the size of crested caracaras are not something I’ll ever be able to see.
Me *sees a lepidondendron tree* Hmmm, must be one of those time rips again, looks like there's a pocket of permian time-line, oh look, a dimetrodon is chasing after an edaphosaurus
@@Dargonhuman don't worry about it, they're herbivorous and have a small head. They look like 10 ft long iguanas with fist sized heads and a sail on their back
@@artiomvv569 oh it's not him I'm worried about, it's the guy that's chasing him. I've seen Jurassic Park, so I know if the herbivore is running, I should start running too.
@@Dargonhuman yeah you're right. The largest Dimetrodon species could reach 15 ft in length and 500-600lbs in weight. I don't know how fast they could run, considering they had a sprawling posture, not super fast but Komodo dragons can manage to run in short bursts at 25 mph so if the dimetrodon could reach that speed, then you better climb somewhere safe, or if you do have a gun, start shooting. I always got at least a shotgun and a rifle in my pickup, depending on the situation and a Taurus 9mm on me, loaded with JHP ammo. There are no dimetrodons here, but there's plenty of feral hogs and they're nasty, their tusks can rip you to shreds if you're not careful.
And the antipathy and the audacity too, don't forget that most people that said "people who inflicted pain on animal must get the same treatment". What drug are they on?
Sound effect Guide by Lil' Cat. Here is the sounds I found so far(I'm not a bot and very sentient🎅🎅🤖) Also these sounds could mean nothing except No sound, other than boost Sterling's algorithm. 🎅🎅😺- Fun Fact or Close call, rarely disease/illness related. 🎅🎅🐡🥕- Close call and no injury, sometimes disease/illness related. Often seen as the "Decent Ending". Occasionally swaps roles with 🎅🎅🦀💵 🎅🎅🧚✨- A very rare sound. Often used in clips that are risky or dangerous, injury is possible. From low to Mild injury. Sometimes swaps roles with 🎅🎅😰. 🎅🎅🦀💵- often used in the "would you do this for 1 million?" Clips. Also used outside of those clips occasionally. (⚠No Sound⚠)- the clip contained death or serious injury. Usually death. 🍎Hey Apple!🍎- same as no sound but instead of a video clip, it shows a short slideshow instead. Also usually more gruesome and grotesque than No Sound. 🎅🎅💩- extremely rare sound, used for only ONE specific clip in which one of the sewer pipes busts and covers someone in sewage(a combination of feces and urine) 🎅🎅🤨(Huh?)- a rare sound that is often used in disease or illness related clips. Rarely used outside of disease/illness related clips. 🎅🎅😰(No don't do it!)- a rare sound used in clips in which someone in the clip purposely put themself and others in danger. Might result in Mild injury or less. 🎅🎅&🎅🎅🎅- a very rare sound but often replaces any of the "safe" sounds(sounds that do not result in serious injury or mild injury.) 🎅🎅🤨📸(Vine boom)- a rarer version of 🎅🎅🧚✨ 🎅🎅😩(AUGHH)- A rare sound that sometimes means that the clip is off-topic(something wholesome or 100% safe), also similar to 🎅🎅&🎅🎅🎅. Today is a frightening day. First the weird af dream, then the noises, then this. Am i ok edit: im making this seem like i need to be put in a mental asylum, which is not the case lmao
Tips to wake up: 1n: close your eyes 2: close them really hard like you are a kid hiding under the blanket for demons 3: you are awake if it doesn’t work (Pinching yourself doesn’t work and sometimes pain transfers to the dream)
Giving "Raiden, something happened to me last Thursday when I was driving home. I had a couple of miles to go - I looked up and saw a glowing orange object in the sky, to the east! It was moving very irregularly." Vibes
This reminds me of the clip showing a picture of a whole hidden forest ecosystem on top of a flat African mountain. Maybe there are prehistoric fauna and floras on there but I hope scientists and explorers don't go to destroy the place for anything.
I don't know why tho, but the trees look somewhat ominous and paired with the music in almost every video of the tree, its quite scary. It has some backrooms feeling.
man i wish the wacky more-alga-than-plant plants/trees that existed in the early times of life on land were around nowadays, it all looks so otherworldly but that FUCKING METEOR had to wipe almost EVERYTHING away
The effect would have been better had the 'wake up' part been just a SMIDGE louder. Or I guess you could have flat-out deep fried that part for some peak Zoomer humor. Overall, decent meme, 🤓/10
