I’m allergic to dust and pollen in an area that is known for dust and pollen. The past week at work I would sneeze about 5-6x in a row, multiple times a day, sprinkled in with single and double sneezes and so. much. nose blowing. I went through 3 boxes of tissues at work alone last week.
@@TonyJaaFan1587 The ability to control sneezing? Omg you're so cool! You're basically like the Lejon Brames of bodily discharge, as in, nobody cares and it's sad you want to brag about it.
Normally, I sneeze once or twice. But try talking to me during pollen season…neither of us will get more than 2-3 sentences in before I dissolve into a fit of like 6 uncontrollable sneezes in a row. No matter how much I try, I cannot hold them back. I live in FL, so our streets, parks, backyards, cars…everything just gets COVERED in pollen. There’s practically nowhere you can go without being surrounded by pollen. I’m not looking forward to spring like a lot of people cuz once it hits in April, it’s game over for me😅
I had a classmate that would sneeze a minimum of 10 times. They were small and rapid fire. I'd always count and sometimes comment like "wow 16 that's a new record" 😂
I have sneeze attacks that are not controllable. I have sneezed 28 times consecutively and i had to sit down because i felt like I was almost unable to control the sneezing and catch my breath.
I’d rather sneeze into my hands where they can be promptly washed than into my sleeves where the bacteria is going to sit for the rest of the day, and where anyone who touches me will immediately be contaminated without knowing it. The whole “sleeves are more appropriate” logic is inherently flawed and based in people not washing their hands. At that point, it’s better to carry tissues around.
I'm a 3-time sneezer and I don't want to be blessed before the third one, because it stifles it. I had a friend who wanted to be 'Gesundheit'ed before any sneezes, because he hated sneezing. But a good 'Gesundheit' would stop him. So it's partially mental, it seems.
Do they not understand why a person sneezes? If the body calls for a second or third one it means the first wasn’t sufficient to clear the air passage.
Not sneezing is so painful though. There are few circumstances where I'll want to hold in a sneeze and trying not to sneeze for a third time for the comfort of others is not one of them.
Not sure wtf she meant so casually implying that everybody can control their sneezes (which I think also implies the ability to sneeze on command...?) but FWIW I've found just gently bringing your finger underneath your nose and covering your nostrils tends to make the urge go away. It's not 100% or anything, but definitely more effective than anything else I've seen!
Sneezes are necessarily body reactions. Can you control or stop the snowing? Yes. Should you do it? No. That opinion is dangerous and childish to have.
You're mentally ill if you want that much control over someone that you want to even control their sneeze. Somethings not right in your head. What Karen vibes.
