Wilderness living gal from northern 🇨🇦 here… I totally get the way you are integrating routines with the seasons, and visitors too. I find that, similar to you, we can get bogged down in routines… but a seasonal shuffle and some variety is what keeps things interesting and makes us appreciate how full and rich our lives are. Putting away the winter stuff, planting seeds and setting up the growing tables in our kitchen, getting out the wooden yard benches and setting up the bbq & the outdoor fire pit, cleaning out the root cellar and giving away extra root veggies to our neighbours, prepping the greenhouse… all such a welcome part of Spring. It’s refreshing and breathes new life into the longer days where we find ourselves outside… no matter what the weather brings. Thanks for your great videos, I am loving the way you are sharing your Spring with us. Thanks also for sharing your visit with Levi & Leah…they are from the southern part of my province and I enjoy their content too. Their journey has been so interesting and fun to follow. Ⓜary💕🌲

Awesome video! Dana your resilience is admirable by far. I scream into a pillow though rarely needed!! Lol I feel like many families or just even couples lose sight of the bigger picture of life like actually "living". The hustle and bustle of city life doesnt allow that. Too many have become so dependent on fast everything and have lost some life skills that are pertinent for survival in daily living. I love what you guys are doing for yourselves and for Max. I have been following you from the start. Truly inspirational cannot emphasize enough!!! Blessings family!

The best advice I can give you is this,, if your stressed,, your baby is stressed,, the feed and read from your emotions,, I have a baby Max ,, he is now 25 years old,, just stop stressing,, your doing a great job,, it is not easy raising children,, so enjoy the ride,, as they grow very fast.. x

This might be an unpopular opinion.. but I wish you guys would pull back on the "Max" content. He's cute to see once in a while, but I just feel like it gets really monotonous (especially for those of us uninterested in kids) when so many videos in a row have huge segments showing Max or talking about Max. If you guys are going to move your channel towards being focused more on "mommy" topics or "parents" topics, of course that's your decision, but then I feel like that should be somehow communicated to people so we can also decide if we want to continue watching these videos anymore. It's a shame when I sit down excited to watch something about shipping container builds, or the outdoors, and then 50-75% of the video ends up just being Dana talking about Max or showing Max. I get in your personal life there's been a big shift, but for your professional business, I think you should also take into account that some people just aren't interested in watching baby videos on this channel..

you are right I like watching the videos. I thought it was going to be more about homesteading. Dana could be more involved now that the weathers nicer setting up the garden, but she seems to put out that all a mother can do is care for a baby which is kind of wrong I think

I guess it depends on whether you're here to watch the build progress or if you're here because you wanna see what Dana & Lou are up to (either is okay). I'm uninterested in kids of my own but it's fun for me to see what makes them happy and how they're evolving as a family :) Plus Max is a cutie!
