The scariest thing as a child was watching just one more show, only to watch adult swim turn into cartoon network knowing damn well you had to go to school soon. Tough times.
same i literally kept imagining the doctor guy from turning me into a robot and I would get so scared and cry but still force myself to watch the whole clip thingy 😭
@•An Untrxsted Idiot• o-o OMG YES. I love it now but I remember when I was like 6 there was that little chucky short where he killed the cabbage patch kids. I was deathly afraid of all dolls at the time
Funnily enough, this only happened to me once and it was my first all-nighter. My parents forgot to turn the tv off before falling asleep and I was sleeping with them at the time as I was still very young, so I was just in the middle watching George Lopez the entire night. My eyes were so crusty 😭😭
SAME My cousin told me when I was a baby my brother used to pull my legs and I would get scared !! Omg also when I was like 5-7 my brother got my doll, tied a thread to it, hanged it on the window (late at night) and then he was like moving the doll and telling me that it was flying. Next morning when I woke up I saw IT WAS TIED TO A THREAD siblings are pure evil.
this show was immaculate, but it’s literally like it doesn’t exist, like its only on at 1am on nick at night 👁👄👁 I always stayed up just to see the intro 😻👍🏼

Unfortunately... I have been forever traumatized. I had my feet uncovered once, my dog brushed by, scared me half to death as a kid and now I refuse to let them out again.
I'd say the spookiest thing while watching TV at night was when the Emergency Alert System tests turned on. This is primarily in the US, but hearing that ear scratching noise at that hour was so terrifying.
Cartoon Network's transition into Adult Swim terrified me and gave me immense fear of the station. Meanwhile Nickelodeon was like *T R A M P O L I N E G O B O U N C E*
I guess I was lucky enough to not know how creepy the transition was, I was only 3 when we had Cartoon Network but we stopped watching it not to long after because we couldn’t afford a handful of channels, Cartoon Network being one of them, but my older brother sure does remember robot chicken scarring the hell out of him. I grew up on mostly Aurther, Dragon Tales and Between the Lions
When i was 5, Not dared, not requested, not commanded, but i literally turned myself into an alarm clock for a day. I didn't sleep until 5 am when my parents realized i wasn't joking about waking them up.
Waking up to George Lopez and then turning over to sleep to “ignore it,” but then you find yourself turning back over and watching the whole rest of the episode...✋
I remember when all the inappropriate shows would come on late at night and I would sneak into the living room and watch them, but they played ads that were scary on purpose to scare kids out of watching it. It still freaks me out.
The scariest thing as a child was when i was in my room alone then i heard breathing i thought it was my breathing so i stopped breathing to see if i was right but i still kept hearing breathing
Staying up late until the adult cartoons come on is one thing, but when the kids cartoons come back on and you're still up, you were way too tired the next day at school.
People over here having TV in their own rooms as a kid while I'm here crying because me and my family slept on the same bed as a kid and I can't turn on the TV because my mom would wake up-
I remember my mother waking me up early for school. So I put on my uniform quick just so I can watch cartoons. I turned on the TV and all I see is george lopez. Those memories 😔
I get to see the old shows when I was little and watch tv while early morning. I get to see chowder and more old but really fun fun shows. Tv even showing much cool cool movies than the movies they show after dawn and before midnight thing. Really fun fun tv early in the morning
And you had to hide your Nintendo, or if you’re like me, GameBoy Color under the pillow and pretend to be sleeping so they wouldn’t yell at you at 10 at night
Oh dude, hell yeah. It was the best. We'd always start off with Forensic Files from like midnight-1:30 or 2 O'clock and then along came George Lopez and According to Jim
Dam, this brings back memories. I'd wake up around 6 or so when I was little between 2011-2015 and I remember having to watch this on my vhs/tv combo and waiting for spongebob to come on.
The woman is watching TV at night at the time she should be going to sleep. She wants to jump like the people on TV are doing and what she did as a kid. EDIT: Holy cow thanks for the likes...
1st idea: If i try to put it under then a ghost will pull my leg 2nd idea: If i move then ghost will think im not sleeping and he will come and kill me (lol i think all this when i was a child) 3rd Idea: If i move around the ghost will go visible then invisible
I remember the time when I was I kid. When I stay up late at night during weekends to watch tv. I always felt safe and comfortable watching alone. It was a nostalgic feeling. I would like to go back in time to be in this same moment again.
When i was a little kid, i had the idea that when they said something like "adults only" for adult swim, I'd die if i kept wayching. Also, the scariest thing was hearing that darn eas practice alarm every second wednesday of the month.
It's either this or InuYasha, Fullmetal Alchemist or some other anime on Adult Swim. The latter of which I remember waking up to more than George Lopez.
The Nickelodeon Hero facts, there were a few times when I'd fall asleep waiting for the new episode, only to wake up just in time to catch the 3A rerun. Memories
@@heathermason7875 Ghost in the Shell, Bleach, Samurai Champloo, The Big O, Trigun, Lupid the Third, the list goes on. Adult Swim had a lot of anime classics back then.

not just earley gen z i remember this and im 11 like random memories of this song playing in my dreams and when i woke up yea ;p also for the longest time the intro scared the crap otta me
This used to be me when I was 5 and woke up too early, I would just sit back in my bed after turning on the TV and wait for my Spongebob to play after George Lopez.
those weekend nights where you fall asleep on the carpet and wake up freezing cold at 4am with those red indentations on your arms but your big brother is sleeping on the couch and you're too tired to get up and go to your room
My relationship with the dark was always the weirdest thing. I never seemed to mind the dark nearly as much as a kid as I do now. I can’t relax my mind without a dim light, there needs to always be a visual or some kind of exit from darkness and I didn’t used to be that way. As a kid I’d sneak across the second story hallway to get to the bathroom at the top of the stairs, I rarely feared the darkness of the stairs or the rest of the house. On camping trips I’d regularly make trips around places that were pitch black at night. If I ever ran from home or stayed out late by accident the Sun setting never bothered me, somehow I always felt like things were as they should be. Now, despite being an adult and over 10 years older than those times I find myself dreading having to walk around my house at night and seeing open doors or large empty spaces. I wonder if anyone else experienced this too, it’s like the opposite of how you expect most people to feel.
7 years ago, I had a room just like that. I had a mattress facing the TV, which was on a drawer, and it was a VHS I think. On the right was the door. I slept in that one room while my other siblings had their own aswell. Man I miss those times where there wasn't so much cancel culture and riots... I just want to go back to 2014 and play Minecraft on multiplayer screen with my siblings.
I truly understand this, its like watching TV without knowing the time and it feels like your on a loop trying to get out of but you need to finish the show first so you can sleep but you never slept until you feel like you just collapse and then you keep doing that same routine every night, until you got a gadget and moved on...
as someone who stayed up late my teen years I got so sick of this show because it was the one show that stayed on nick at nite for all eternity and I saw every episode like 100 times. I'll still have ptsd flashbacks to random plots or moments from it.
I remember looking at this show, and always thinking that George Lopez was always under my bed. I didn't know wether I was happy, safe, or afraid of that feeling.
I remember having to wake up early when the sky was dark blue. When my mom turned on the tv to watch Nickelodeon, we would be greeted with this, it was okay, and I was too. Dang I miss having cable, now we just use other stuff.
Must've been golden years back in your time. Mine was just toys and blood according to my brain and grandmother (blood from me and toys from grandma). I remember my first scrape in the knee
King of the hill/family guy the night was still pretty young, squidbillies/ATHF it’s like 3am then before you know it Cartoon Networks back on and you stayed up all night again
No actually i understand the video but this is also true for me. Generally eerie and it makes sense. Glad I'm not the only one that felt freaked or not okay..?
I still keep the cover over my feet. In fact, *im still a kid that’s like a robot that learns from others* Edit: Autocorrect made me say Roblox instead of Robot.
The feet remind me of a story that my uncle told my older sister in the 90s before he died. He lived alone with his big tom cat and would always love to sleep like this since his cat would sleep by his feet every night. Eventually his cat died of old age but he swore that he would still see the cat run by and meow. Eventually the spirit of the cat seemed to get more aggressive as he said he would always hear a deep angry growl and loud thuds coming from his room.. He said that he soon after had started having weird hallucination dreams of cats biting and scratching his feet. When he woke up he had blood and scratch marks on his feet which scared him to the point that from then on he always covered his feet. My sister was traumatized from this and never slept with her feet out even now lol. I don't know if this story is true but he soon passed away after telling my sister this so I never got to meet him but I honestly do the same since I feel like something will get my feet. (BTW I love George Lopez and miss the show! It was the only thing I'd watch after other shows like Everybody hated Chris was taken out of the lineup. I don't think they have it on anymore.)
I was expecting the face from the thumbnail to appear and that made me anxious the whole video, now I’m expecting that face to just slide from the side of my bed to just stare at me with empty eyes :)
@@imhellagay1793 "BYE BYE!" yells Mario as you close the DS, knowing he had doomed you in the process, and he wouldn't see you again for a long, long time.
Dude, I remember this. Holy shit. This would always play at around 5 in the morning for me. I’d wake up from my mom, since she always made some type of noise when she’d be cooking my dad’s breakfast before he had to go to work. I’d hear this theme playing quietly in the living room where I used to sleep on the floor with my mom and dad. Good times. You probably won’t read this, but thanks for the video. They always give me nostalgia.
