Question if you don’t check the RU-vid box, and just upload your album on RU-vid. How can you Monetize your music if 1000’s of other RU-vidrs use your music on their monetized pages. Yes you have your page monetized for everything you upload, but how do you get your money from the 1000’s of people posting your music on their personal Monetized pages? I know crabby, distrokid and Tunecore will do it for you, but if your not using them, who do you go through to monetize your music on other peoples pages?
what you're discribing is 'RU-vid Content ID'. If you're eligible, you upload your audio to their database and they scan every upload to see if it matches and if you monetize it you get 20% of the revenue
1. Official Artist Channel. 👌🏻 2. Whether through your aggregator/distributor or a third party RU-vid rights management service like AdRev, your masters must be delivered to RU-vid for “Content ID” purposes. This topic needs more than a soundbite.
This guy is perfect example why you dont take advice from any random person on the internet. You can make that topic channel your official artists channel. And add music to it like a regular channel. RU-vid then uses those singles you put out with distrokid in youtube ads, there for you make money from youtube red, youtube ads and youtube music. RU-vid pushes those releases out more.
The solution is actually easy, just claim your youtube for artist account and everything will be consolidated under your main youtube channel You can still re-upload the song if you want to, and I'd advice you do, but all the numbers will be added together
yeah but we can do both. it can appear as a topic, with that "official audio" they upload for you, but then that will show up on your official artist channel anyway, AND, you can upload your own lyric video or music video or audio video or however you like it (with whatever visuals), and then... if you really don't like the one they uploaded, you can delete those clips.
I can’t Merge the Channels even when they both have the same name. For example this is my youtube channel I’m commenting with, but I can’t merge my Topic channel with my own channel, is it done automatically or…??? Idk help me out 😅 I’m using TuneCore
@@abbylee66 TuneCore says that the OAC, the Official Artist Channel system is down for them until further notice. Can’t complain since I’m using the Professional Plan but still, makes me think DistroKid is better, but I like TuneCore cuz there’s stuff that DistroKid makes you pay for add ons that TuneCore has for free included and cuz artists that I listen to also use TuneCore 😅
