The game becomes 100% more challenging and imersive by not using GPS guidance at all. Deactivate the GPS guidance from gameplay, decativate the GPS screen and start planning your own trip using the big map before leaving, noting down the cities and the roads and highways numbers, and use the road signs for orientation. It's harder, but it's more challenging and way less boring.
True, but it's hardly realistic, right? I mean, these days I consider it more of an adventure to FOLLOW GPS (IRL, I mean) than to ignore it :D Sometimes it leads me to... weird places.
I would say if you want to enjoy the game, just try to drive as realistically as possible. That's something what i have found out after a lot hours of playing.
I've been playing ETS2 since a year after it's initial release, and I still do it the same way as I always have. Taking the longest jobs I can find, with damage reduced as much as o]possible (because that is as close to real as it gets) and driving as fast as I can. I've had people tell me I should do it this way or that way, I always them them that's _your_ way. I believe that if you pay for a game, you should play it however you like. So I do it _my way_...
@@Bigfoot-px9gj Agreed. As the player, I get to pick and choose what parts I want to be realistic about, and what parts I want to just relax and drive for.
I remember the first job i delivered in iceland and i just fell in love with this game all over again. promods have done incredible work. you should do a video on all the scenic routes you can take 🙂
If jou would like to have the hardest challenge, just install mod "Hardh russia". This mod is very old and popular. Sometimes you should drive without GPS, sometimes - across the river or by wooden bridge. Heavy cargos (61 tonns), unreal hills and big prices should make this game unreal!
Best thing for interior is either VR if you can stand the motion sickness or a head or eye tracker; TrackIR 5 is the one I use and couldn't play without it now.
@PC_Modder that's true. But I've had mine for 12 years or more when I did a lot of Lockon Flaming Cliffs before DCS Black Shark and DCS A10 came out originally.
The only problem with TrackIR5 at least for me is the inconsistency of the software. I always have to delete my profile before launching the app, otherwise it will crash and have to force restart my pc
Try the EAA map (South American Map). You will find some diference experiences, driving on night in some roads/cemeteries or try go from Manaus to Porto Velho, this Iceland river will be nothing after this trip.
at the end of the day it just depends on the gamer i have currently 993 hours in ATS and 217.9 hours in ETS2 i use no traffic mods for both and only drive Front Bumper View #6 on keyboard while in game i change truck brands every 20k miles i like to rotate between both games playing a few hours here and there drive a couple loads now and then ill use cab mode view but only for like 2-3 minutes before i get annoyed by the view not gonna spend on a wheel style of play as a old race style gamer i just plug in my PS Controller to my PC and use a DS4 Windows program cause i dont like xbox controllers long live play station to each gamer out there just find what play style u like to use to most be it your own means or how this video is no choice is wrong at the end its just about enjoying the game in how you see fit to play it
Cool and also i would still recommend the low and tip for all devices because if you have like 1000 mods on a powerful pc, of course it will probably lag
As a Filipino ETS2 gamer, we are much more enjoyable with Japanese semi-trucks & semi-trailers since we have been grown with these types of trucks ever since particularly the used ones. Not really with those fancy European trucks that we don't often see on our roads.
Which one is more challenging? I mean which one has tighter roads, hairpin bends, mountain regions, off-roading, etc? I'm not sure which one to go with, ATS or ETS2.
@@atuljaishyam4261 They both have almost similar hairpin bends. But if you want difficulty, Go with ATS , because it has long nose trucks, so there I'll be difficult while turning them in hairpin bend 👍
Using your mouse to free look + mouse buttons for blinkers or am i missing something !? No plugin/mod needed How is driving slow challenging ? Driving as fast as you can, staying between the lines and finishing without any damage is challenging...
I'm guessing it's not possible to have snow with the standard DLCs? I am looking for a good AI vehicle pack and sound mods for the engine sounds (default is so unrealistic..)
Playing the game in vr with the Pico 4, great immersion, graphically not quite as good as pancake mode but still very good. On level 15 at the mo, want to get to level 20 to buy the MAN TG3 TGX.
@@Eierkneifer69 when playing in VR I use a racing wheel and gear shifter for the most part once driving. As the VR headset doesn't fit snugly over my nose I can peek through and see the keyboard or just push the buttons by feel as its only really the spacebar or the F keys I use. Muscle memory.
Hey so i dont have all the dlcs :// i just play solo tho, so a dlc unlocker/map pack is baneable????? I just need some good ol russian maps in my game Za Monolith!!
On my profile as soon as i discorvered the Man truck dealer in calais i purchased the most basic model of man tgx 2020 later on if i get nore money i may purchase a more powerful version of the truck
2:51 lol, are you saying that driving slower truck is challenging and driving faster truck is boring 😂. Driving faster truck will secret adrenaline rush every time, but driving slower truck will create tension every time
Yes, and it's pretty good, when you go to Great Britain for me it was very challenging to drive on your right, then you go for the rest of europe and if you like it go for dlc, some are bigger than others
Just about everything in this video is old news... It's easy to say a lot but nothing does you more good than experience. If you find the game boring, then trucking games are not for you.
@@vutomy yes i see :D but ets2 pros can tell which mods are used. ireland is promods i think. there is a new island and continent at left side of uk. around caspian sea, black sea. south of gibraltar. lots of map mods here :D
