This is the place to go for all your fruit trees and even some spice plants/trees ., Great honest advice , great prices, exceptional variety and post sales support . Al is not just trying to sell you something and be done with you. He genuinely wants you to succeed with your trees.Worth the drive from anywhere in south Fl.
in my country the plants are usually planted and left alone, only cleaned and cared for one or two months later. I am often moved to see creative and innovative farmers like in this show, trying to create high quality crops. I am touched and very inspired by this show. This will be a passion for me farming, thank you and keep the spirit. Greetings from Indonesia🙏🙏
In addition to extremely high oxalate levels, they also contain a powerful toxin called caramboxin that is extremely damaging to the nervous system and can cause seizures, neurodegenerative disease and even death (even in people with healthy kidneys).
@@inchristalone25 and the majority of the bitterness... Eating a starfruit is so much better by doing the following. 1. Cut/Bite off top and bottom 2. Cut/Bite off star tips 3. Cut/Split along "seams" at the star tips You'll get perfect starfruit spears that separate from the seed sacks.
" I like mango" i dont know anybody that doesn't like mango , and sugarapples are to die for , soursop/ guyabano one of the best fruits and the leaves make for a good tea that have CANCER fighting medicinal uses.
The conventional wisdom is that Donnie is not a very good avocado, but Al tells us that if left on the tree longer until July or August, it's actually a very good and not watery avocado. It seems to me that's the case with ALL Florida avocados--they're picked too early and rushed to market before they reach their prime. All the Monroes are picked and shipped out by the first week of January, and yet their season should last until the middle of February. Growers start to pick Simmonds at the end of June, but when I had my tree, I found they weren't really very good until the middle of August.
Paul, I take it the huge 'Custard Apple' here is Annona Reticulata? Do you think a Cherimoya and a Squamosa would be okay over a drain field? I have a small yard too. Thanks
Love it. Hope my avocadoes get some fruit soon!!! Love the breadfruit!!. Totally agree on the six months to a year for cow dung. Peace n happiness to Al and his trees.
Thanks... U definitely gave us some valuable information. 🙏 Everything that u said is correct. I've been growing Moringa for 2 years. I finally had success last year. We had 5 freezes in NW FL zone 9.🤦 But it was the 50° nights that killed them. I started new ones last month. I will grow them in 30 gallon containers. I spray them w vinegar about once a week, more when it rains, to fight fungus. And I will be growing them in partial Sun. I have some 12" water bottles that I use as my starters. Hopefully they can last 6 months in those. 🤞 I'm planning on overwintering them until next Spring. I plan to be moved into my house by then. 👩🏽🌾🙏😏🥂
I agree that bananas are a pain in the butt! They require so much management, and once they go in they are hard to get rid of. I’ve phased them out until a future planting, right now I’m focused on the 160 fruit or nut bearing trees I already have in the ground. The worst part of the bananas is the fire ants they attract in my area.
On my island, avocado is hard, mango is easy. Probably salt coming from the ocean when there is a storm, that’s the problem. It kills coffee plants as well.
Grea video Paul, very informative, I will definitely pay a visit and see what they have, I have been going to WPB and I live way closer to Al's. Great Job!!!
Believe me, I have purchased many trees from Al's and I have never been disappointed with the quality, prices, and the support I that I have received from Al's even after my purchases. I highly recommend that you stop and visit Al's place first. You can't beat his prices, inventory, and expert advice!
Oh yeah 😎? Oxalates: Raw Spinach has Oxalalic Acid which combines with serum Calcium, forming Calcium Oxalate, which is insoluble. Calcium Oxalate can form kidney stones. However, when Spinach is canned 🥫 the heat 🔥 of the canning process, destroys the Oxalalic Acid in the Spinach. Here in Atlanta, Georgia I prefer canned 🥫 Spinach to the local Collard Greens
Nice to see this video with very helpful information. I'm surprised to see balimbi in your orchard. We grow that tree back home. Almost every household grow in their backyard. What my parents did with matured balimbi, just before turning yellow, gathered the fruits and dry them. We add the dried fruit to soups, and stew fish. The taste of the dried balimbi stays the same. Thanks again for the video.
right at about 20 min the aduio finally got loud enough to understand him. Not sure what was going on but dang that first 20 was difficult to understand.
Just visited Al’s this past week from key west, got an OS for the 3rd time now. Hurricane Irma killed the last one. I did notice some black spots on some branches though they wipe off fairly easy, hope it’s not disease 🤷🏼♂️. Any thoughts on the black spots?
Hi Paul This a very educational video. Thank you I love to know if AI can train people from other countries. Would love to start fruit tree planting in Kenya
Hi Paul Thankyou for all your wonderful videos,I just moved to PSL back in may 2022 Been trying to buy some fruit trees I bought a lamb hass avocado and I thought that it was the grafted part that greww like 4 feet but it wasn’t,I think is the root stock that was used, please what should I do 😢.
About the Strawberry tree I've read somewhere else that "The fruits are edible, though they are not usually enjoyable when fresh". Al must be talking about a specific variety which fruit tastes like cotton candy which is it? Excellent video. Thank you.
The Strawberry Tree you are looking for is the Muntingia Calabura. If you’re buying, make sure the tree has this name since there are other trees with the strawberry name.
Paul doesn’t need a razor. He is being the man that Yahweh created him to be. Your comment is ignorant. If you shave, you are destroying the most masculine expression if your body that you have. Big beards are awesome and natural. Baby faces are unnatural and are for boys, not men.
@@juanpatron1720 Yeah, I am way off. Tell me you would not think this guy was homeless if he walked up behind you as you were getting into your car or was on a park bench. You know I am right.
