the bible doesn't guilt people into tithing and churches, yt pastors, social media evangelist are robbing people by living off their handouts and the people giving to them are not receiving any "blessings" in return, i also find that most people quoting Malachi don't tithe themselves but like to beat other people with it, tithing is a thing of the heart, a kindness we do not cuz some storehouse in heaven is gonna dump a load on us for giving a few bucks!

The Bible doesn't "guilt" people into tithing, God threatens about the curses (on keeping the law - which includes the tithings - Deut 28) FOR the NATION OF ISRAEL who are under the law/old covenant. It's ridiculous when some ministers (and TV programs) don't even know the distinction between the Old Covenant for the Nation of Israel vs. the New Covenant Church and quote Malachi like it applies to the church. The New covenant church is not under the OT LAW which includes the 3 tithings. In the NT, we have 2 Cor 8-9 - like you said, generous giving.

You're not alone. Just know there's no such thing as a biblical tithe received from earned wages. There's nothing wrong with choosing to tithe per your discretion, there's just no biblical mandate for anyone to continually pay 10% of their earnings to a religious institution, and there never was.

Praise the Lord Jesus my sister for your honesty. The tithe was a commandment under the law(HEB 7:5) and the new testament principal is exhorted in 2 Corinthians 9. Not tithing was so serious, it was considered stealing from God so if it were new testament, it would have been stressed in the new testament writtings. Nowhere in the N.T does it say to give tithes. Some idiots say Jesus said to give tithes when he rebuked the Pharasees saying they give tithes, but the should have done the weightier matters of the law, not neglecting tithes. He spoke to them this while being under the law Himself, rebuking them about something of the past, but even in their present, they were to do both, seeing they were under the law. The emphasis is the weightier matters of the "LAW"😂. Other then this, if you want to believe that we still under the law of tithes, you welcome. Abraham also has nothing to do with new testament tithing. In Hebrews Paul said that Abraham tithes to show how great Melchizedek (Heb 7)was as well as other proofs of his greatness, who was the type of Christ. No record of more tithing. And if it were under grace, then it would not be under compulsion. Here is your scriptural proof to freedom from men's laws. The same applies to the Sabbath day law.

Do not give up. God cannot lie. The blessings may come in was you least anticipate. At least you are still here. What if he chooses to bless your children and grandchildren instead?
