This is a short telling about that most magical and miraculous bridge - the rainbow bridge - a connection between heaven and earth where we will, one day, rejoin our animal, bird and fin friends. At the end of the story, I present a small selection of my own pets who have crossed over to the other side, and openly ask for you to do the same. Tell us about a pet you have loved knowing that we, as animal lovers, share your pain and love and will, of course, be sending you and your much missed loved ones blessings and even more love.
If you have ever had to say that awful, awful “Goodbye” to a beloved pet, you will know like me, like so many of us, that a major reason we can keep on keeping on is that we know we will be meeting up again with our beloved pet when it is our own time to leave this life. The more pets we have had the joy of sharing our lives with, the more animals and birds and fish we have known and loved and respected, the more there will be to ensure our own passing is quite literally an enormously joyous event.
And even before the end of our lives, we often feel our friends come to visit because of the very simple reason - they love us unconditionally and that love allows them to bring us a small reminder when we most need it.
