Week 16 of 29 for #IFDRecruitClass87 took the recruits to the training tower at IVY Tech in Lawrence for SCBA Confidence Week. The recruits face a variety of scenarios that allow them to work through potential problems they may encounter on the fireground. Learning not to panic, but rather to problem solve, takes training and patience. The scenarios are designed to illustrate real fireground issues and ensure the recruit has the knowledge and confidence to work their way through it.
