So been flying and crashing the A65 for over a year still flies amazing. Tough! Made me a tiny woop flyin fool! I have the christmas edition in red comes with an extra blue canopy and with a crossfire nano receiver installed. This way I binded to my TBS Tango 2 which is my go to controller. The A65 is a great tiny woop! Great review Jon-E 5. Love everything you do✌

Hi John, great video. I bought into the sport with a CMW Shocker and related components using a Jumper T lite for my radio. I have not assembled my Shocker yet for a variety of reasons but have been flying simulators a bit and those are fun for sure. Sounds like you mentioned the mobula 6 many times but I am not familiar with it I feel like these are almost too small but I have zero experience so I am not sure. I found a mobula 7 (?) and I think of something like the the Diatone Tycan 25 or the iflight Protek 25 or even something from GepRC - but again I really am no expert and I think I like those beginning primarily with the aesthetics. I do like the slightly larger size of these compared to the tiny whoops thinking that these would be ok indoors and could hold their own outdoors... with the additional thought that these could have the power to carry some kind of GOPRO. Oh yea, I am kind of really broke at the moment so value will be important but all things said I would rather have nothing than something that is sub standard, a lesson I have learned from years of pining after things but buying "lesser" versions and ultimately spending a LOT more money because of the lower quality, multiple purchases, etc. I hope that means something to someone out there that might be say young and low in funds - patience is 100% your best friend but it is super difficult to resist the urge to get something entry level instead of saving a few months longer and getting the "real deal" for what ever you are looking for, believe me I know!!! And by the way to be 100% clear I am not judging the drone in this video! I actually think this thing is awesome and I definitely am tempted but like I said there is something about the ones that I like that are worth waiting for at least for me. Anyway, your thoughts would be awesome on this! I would like to get a good quality whoop style for flying indoors during the winter but also to build real skills. What would you recommend?

Thanks for the feedback geni. Simulator is best way to get started learning. I would start with a whoop size so you can learn basics indoors and not have a fear of it flying away. This one, mobula 6 (i have a review up, here), or the new tinyhawk III would be good indoor choices. The 2 quads you mention, are cinewhoops. They are flying cameras, and good for getting shots with a gopro, but they are not very fun to fly, and actually more difficult to fly. You do have some extra crash protection, but may be a little harder to learn on those. IMO, cinewhoops is what i would recommend learning to fly last, and only if you really need those type of shots. If you are good with taking it easy, i would go with something with a mid range price, mid range performance, you can fly in the max amount of places to get the most stick time. 3-4". This would be like the babyhawk HD II, diatone roma 3.5, iflight chimera 4. These are light, relatively inexpensive, but not as fast or heavy as a full size 5". @@JonE5FPV Hi John, thanks for the reply. I want to appologize in advance for how much typing I did - I can't help myself... There is so much to learn and say. Anyway here it goes: Man I love this hobby so many great things to do. I am a degreed engineer and sometimes I do go overboard in my evaluations of things... pros and cons, weighted scoring for features, etc.. I know I am wrong about this but I cant help but think that these really small drones seem not legitimate - don't get me wrong please I do mean I have a bias that there is something about the item that makes me think of the kind of toys that you give to a kid and they use it once... I have had a few of those myself like some of the small scale rc trucks from legit brands and they were not that good at all so it has placed a kind of bias in my mind. Even Kyosho who makes some of the best gear out there had a "Mini 8" that I bought in a nanasecond after seeing it but it was not all that much of a performer. Jumped like crap, not that durable, ran good on flat ground though. I still have them - not sure why! So oddly enough a 3" seems way too huge to fly in my house (by the way your home is beautiful, perhaps I need to relocate to Houston! - (my house is just fine I am kidding)). Is that accurate? are the 3" whoops too big to fly indoors or would they be just fine? appreciative I do like your recommendations a lot, the Babyhawk was one of the first drones I ever saw and I have always thought that it was cool... perhaps that is the one. I have a Jumper T-lite which seems to be compatible with lots of different things out there so I am happy with it. I like express LRS but I do not like how it looks - a second antenna looks kind of silly... but you cant argue with what it delvers! So after my always too long text here would you change your recommendation for me or stick with the first ones??? The Diatone Tycan comes in 2.5", and I like the fit and finish on it... but I also have to be very careful with money right now so I actually feel greedy here. I often have toyed around with the idea of making my own rc cars, planes, drones, etc... as I have designed many products in my lifetime. And I was thinking of this was way long before we had these amazing desktop rapid prototype machines. I have many prototypes in my basement that I never sent to market, some I am sure would have been a good success. Anyway I really hope that everyone knows and appreciates what an unbelievable gift these desktop machines are to all of us. again, I truly appreciate your time and opinions and I really enjoy your channel and all the content you provide. So it is a very strange market we are in but sometimes I think that I am really glad it is not popular, but with small size comes small support. A local HobbyTown which had an AMAZING indoor and outdoor offroad rc track was permanently closed with Covid pushing the closure as the last straw. I knew the owners and the matriarch of the family was crying thinking about how long they had been there and what it all means, really got to me. I always spent my money on kits, parts, supplies from them regardless of price as much as possible because they were such great people and they provided such an amazing resource to us off road rc drivers. I actually don't know anywhere else to go around where I live now... super big bummer. Anyway cheers!

Ended up just ordering this control. Hope it works. It will also bind with any d8 or d16 receiver right?

I got the drone alone and have a x9 lite and a xjt lite multi module. I can NOT get it to bind. Any advice? I will literally pay someone to help me get this thing to bind.

I am of the opinion that buying cheap is wasteful a lot of the time. I ended up buying a QX7S as my first radio and my current Tango 2 after that using my old one as backup. (any recommendations on full size ELRS modules?)

I have the iF8-E controller and I can’t bind it like this. This one changes the led color when binding and mine doesn’t. Iflight support doesn’t help me and I’m frustrated with this. If there is a way someone can help me do it the right way I would appreciate it
@JonE5FPV

did you follow the binding steps at the end?
@carloszamora2291
@carloszamora2291 2 года назад
@@JonE5FPV yes, i follow them perfectly, but my controller doesn’t change the colors to red nor blue. That’s because mine is iF8-E so there is another way to bind it. I did that other way too but still didn’t work. Iflight costumer service says is binding issues but I think is a betaflight configuration issue
