IS IT ME OR are you deliberately talking low and breaking your voice ? I listen to lots of A.T. you are intermittently very hard to understand. Maybe were losing something over the recording ?? Sorry but I had a veryhard time several times understanding you. Just saying if you speak louder and clearly the chance of mistakes lessen. Just my observation.
No offense, but your speech sounds like you are "growl-talking" most of the time when responding to ATC. What's up with that or maybe you are not realizing that you are speaking this way.
I'm wondering why your vlog voice (when you talk to us) is not the same as your radio voice. It seems like when you talk with ATC your voice sounds like a robot, less clear, less definition. I noticed a lot of people do that and I don't know why. It's hard enough sometimes hearing people on the radio, please use your best voice.
I was going to say the same thing. I couldnt understand a word he was saying on the ground...I've always respected the pilot on the radio that speaks slowly and clearly.
I was just in philly today! Great to see my home airport on this channel. Must say I wouldn't have gotten into aviation without your content. I got the PPL ride this Monday.
Spot on, and airport elevation is the highest of all landing surfaces (I think it includes taxiways- could be wrong on that.) This figure for circling is a HAA- height above aerodrome, whereas ILS/LOC uses HAT- height above touchdown.
I like your Bonanza videos more than your jet videos. The jet videos are fantasy but the Bonanza videos are much more like the kind of flying I actually do. In that sense they’re more interesting to me.
I gotta say its treat to watch you fly. I have a private pilot license but have not flown in many many years . I was never IFR rated. I miss the flying but enjoy watching you, you are very professional and very skilled, I have never seen you rattled. Would be an experience and a special day to ride with you. Living my no flying days through you. Thanks you very much for the videos.
Among the most interesting and instructive of all of your (interesting and instructive) videos of what actual IFR looks and feels like in real life. Thank you.
You still have that crackling when listening to distant stations. It’s possibly a leaky ignition harness. You had same problem a few years ago. It does make you miss some comm from ATC.
My biggest guess for the difference in AGL on the approach plate is that the circle to land is taking into account the runway slope? In other words, the height above the Touchdown zone elevation from the straight in vs. the touchdown zone on the other side of the airfield.
You’re on the right track! Circling approach heights are based on Airport elevation, where as straight-in approaches are based on touchdown zone elevation
Seems like that was one of the bumpier flights you've shown! Anxiety level must have been high flying out of Philly and then having to deal with weather all the way!
Love that you flew into KROC. Got my private certificate there and still fly in a lot. Fun Fact-BILAW is actually pronounced as the guy’s name: “Bill Law”. He was a longtime instructor and flight school owner on the field.
OK I see the Infamous blue shirt again. You must have a dozen of those. Lol. On another note, I can’t believe in watching all these videos on your door handle arm rest is that an ashtray that I see???? I don’t think I’ve ever noticed it before watching all your videos I’m like wow how did I not notice? 😂
Almost 38 years ago I flew my S-35 from Nashville to LaGuardia! Some flight in the Wx most of the trip and an ILS to about 400’. Might not have been the best decision as other GA airports would have been more practical but, hey, I did it!
One of your best--approach and landing in very gusty conditions. I had a bit of trouble hearing the ATIS, but it seemed the winds favored 28. I heard you say that 25 was more convenient given your parking destination, but how much did choosing 25 add to your crosswind? That said, your short final and touchdown were perfect. Could hear the squeak of you landing on the upwind main, followed by the downwind!
Nice ride thank you for producing another great video. Matt your in the groove buddy. Always a pleasure. Onward 🌈 with great health, great eats of course. Hmm where are the in-flight snacks? I miss the food times.
@@flyboybbq1718 flyboy curious if you been inside the nasa Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory. Or Nasa space center here ? 🤔 my brother in law is a big fan of your he works at Nasa
