Great new video. You pick this stuff up so fast and make it look easy... i feel like Im working so hard to get this stuff... also, as someone who wants to learn from you, if you can get a shot of the instruments during the flight and stuff that would be a helpful camera angle for viewers. Keep up the good work. Thanks!!

How did you like sedona? That is my hometown and they call it the aircraft carrier on land for the airport there. Always love seeing it from the sky!

Great video. I throw up my raw footage of IFR training on my channel if interested. Don’t have the time to edit as well as you these days so just run one camera :) keep the videos coming. Once my IFR is done this year I want to make better videos like yours with my commercial time build.

That's awesome, I'll definitely check it out! Editing can be a real pain with 3-4 cameras, but once you get your flow down it gets a little quicker. Keep it up and fly safe!

@@CirrusMJ Keep up the great videos. I really enjoy your work and love the cirrus. Started flying the SR20 G6 in January and wont fly anything else, except may a 22T one day :) Nothing like flying a Cirrus. They are great planes! You stay safe too and enjoy your IFR training. Check out NobleFlightSim.com. I picked up their G6 simulator that works with MSFS. Great for practicing what you learn on your lessons.

Love the videos! I fly SR20 G6's out of the SF Bay Area, fantastic airplanes. I wanna get my SR22T checkout but they're so expensive! My Cirrus Training Center charges about $550 an hour fo the 22T's, whats your hourly rate like?
@CirrusMJ
@CirrusMJ 3 года назад
Thanks Brandan! SR22s are $450-500, and the 22Ts are $550-600. I try and stick to the SR20s as much as possible unless I'm going long distance just for the sake of saving some money.

I live in Vegas and I’m interested in obtaining my PPL. There are many flight schools to choose from, what sets All-in a part from the other schools?
@CirrusMJ
@CirrusMJ 2 года назад
I actually did a video explaining a bit about the school on here, it's called "Why I went ALL IN For My Flight Training" - but to make a long story short through my searching, visiting and talking with a bunch of other schools in town they have the nicest facilities, nicest planes, best and most professional all around service that I found anywhere in the city. They have a massive fleet of Cirrus and also late-model G1000 C172's as well. The entire staff and instructors are top notch. Give Carl or Reuben a call at the HND location, tell them I sent you and go take a tour to check it out for yourself!

How is this an IFR training flight? The guy is not under hood. And why fly so far?
@CirrusMJ
@CirrusMJ 3 года назад
There’s a lot more to IFR flying than just being in IMC: - How to plan, create and file an IFR flight plan - How to get clearance from ATC - How to program that plan and clearance into the airplane - How to communicate with ATC properly throughout the flight - How to read approach charts and all of the rules, requirements and procedures of the approach, missed approach, holding pattern etc. - How to utilize the plane’s technology and instruments to shoot the approach - Setting up and shooting the approach properly There’s so much more to IFR flying than just being in the clouds! Besides, a good portion of IFR flights are performed in VFR weather conditions - especially in Vegas where it is always severe clear weather! We’ll have some under the hood videos coming soon too where we stay more local and practice actual IMC flying. And we went to Sedona because I wanted to get comfortable flying there so I can comfortably take friends and family there on trips! 😎
@speedomars
@speedomars 3 года назад
@@CirrusMJ Well. I won't argue with you on your own video. But if you are flying all the way to Sedona just to shoot an approach, it would seem that too is odd since Sedona has no instrument approaches. I am on KVGT airfield myself...flying an SR22T. Have you guys seen this new simulator yet? I am thinking about buying one for myself, it is a exact replica of an Cirrus panel and flight controls and is pretty cheap by simulator standards. realsimgear.com/products/realsimgear-cirrus-batd

@@speedomars Sedona actually has a GPS for RWY 3! Saw some of your videos, I absolutely love the color of your plane!! I have seen that, I would love to have a full blown home sim like that one day. Looks amazing.
@speedomars
@speedomars 3 года назад
@@CirrusMJ It is BATD approved which means it can be used to do both IFR training and keep IFR currency. It also has a CFI station attached to it for training. Ah I see the GPS approach now. Remember the Cirrus crash into Gass Peak last year? That was an ex ATC guy with an SR22 flying himself, his wife and his mother-in-law at dusk returning from Havasu. He wanted to shoot the ILS for 12L at VGT and allowed Nellis to vector him along the mountain range and right into the peak. Tragic really.
