I’m looking at getting one to dive deeper into my radio hobby. I’d like to be able to service and tune hf radios. I’m still somewhat on the fence about a service monitor vs separate components. Rigol makes nice stuff, but it can get expensive. Perhaps an old service monitor is best to start with, I can always do separates or HP 8920 later. Would it be of any benefit to send out a used IFR to be calibrated?
