The Espar heater need cleaning. If you got a kit with the glowing socket in it. Take the glow pin out and clean or replace the screen. There is also a fresh air hole that feeds air to the burn chamber. A little carb cleaner and a 90 degree dental pick will help clean it out. Thermoking will service it for you for around $500.
You guys are good at what you do. You make sure the load pays well. You also think about getting loads out of an area which is smart so you don't get stuck in a bad spot. That is veteran knowledge when it comes to doing research on areas and checking the freight out of areas.
My trainer taught me to pick out a nice looking truck well taken care of park Maside it and that way I would know I was safe at least on that side if I can get between two well taken care of trucks then I was good for the night. That was his philosophy
Last week I stopped at a rest area in Indiana in a snow storm. Woke up at 5AM because my APU started running rough and died. Seems it ran the passenger side tank down too low. Thankfully there was enough in the other tank and I was able to drive a few miles for fuel. I wouldn't have stopped with low fuel, but the visibility was getting bad and I didn't think I would make it to the truckstop I was heading for. I've thought about installing a diesel heater, but the APU also keeps the batteries charged while i'm running my fridge, microwave, coffee pot etc.
My mack CXU613 came with factory installed bunk heater.. And eventually my bunk heater did samething.. Seems the only way to get it to fire up was to run the truck first and wait till heat came out.. I rewired it directly to batteries.. Bypassed the factory wiring.. Also you could unplug harness at unit and replug it back..
How it going Lita n Robert It's smoking but it's not burning diesel for heat , Probably your ignitor went bad , that's what happened to mine put a new ignitor problem solved. But you can keep trying and sometimes it will work You can hear the ignitor click , The engine you got under your hood It is all set Stock , That's why you say it don't pull that great , You can turn them up and then she will l get 6 miles to the gallon be safe out there take care yourselves
You have the heater clogged, usually you have to service the filters yearly. You have one were the glow sensor is and one underneath the truck were the pump is. Sometimes the fuel pump dies from it being clogged.
When you were talking to that broker, could you hear the commode flushing and two squalling kids telling her to hurry or they will be late for the school bus. Typical brokers and it will never change. You know, we used to load out of that same place in Waukesha, even the same muddy lot. That was in 1974.
Got a friend who put one in there Pete and said it works better than any APU so I believe that's the route ta go the only thing I don't like is made in China.🇺🇸👍
today was "testing day".. outside temp was 65*. On the 2nd to lowest setting I had the Camper COOKING @ 94* . ( the Camper is just under 400 cu. ft of space. ) I doubt I will need to run it over night !!!! @@williambillwaynerobertson930
Ahhh, Waukeaha. In 1999, I took 50 business trips to Waukesha or New Berlin, working on a project for GE Medical Systems. 4 flights per trip. Some of the USAirways frequent flier miles from that are still alive and usable on American. The hotel points I got from Holiday Inn there, paid for a week at a resort in Spain. A few nice perks like that helped make up for setting the alarm for 3:50am every Monday morning to fly Manchester-Philly-Milwaukee and spend 3 days working like a dog to make a rich company richer. You know life your corporate job sucks when you recognize 10 of the 50 strangers getting on a commuter jet every week in Philly, and your commute includes a particular escalator leading you to a shuttle bus to a commuter jet. And when one of the two seats left on the plane is next to you, and an obese guy and a hot chick walk onto the plane, you don't need a Vegas odds maker to tell you you're going to be flying with a guy's gut flopped over the arm rest onto you. But one day, the reverse happened, and I got to hear all about the life of a "specialty act" stripper returning home to Wisconsin after a gig in New Haven. I made the mistake of telling a consultant the story of my flight, and the name of her website. Half the guys on the project got no work done that morning, but at least I became a legend among them.
If all you are getting, it is white smoke out of your bunk heater, it probably the igniter in the heater carboned up not igniting the fuel, get a kit from thermo-king, you can buy a code reader for the heater that will tell you what is wrong
What’s fun is 12’ tall, & 12’ wide. But you get told it’s 10x10ft. So you get legal for width of 10’. Does not cover 12’ wide much less height. I saw the bridge. I expected “bridge height 13 feet 4””
HEATER : Air Intake blocked ???? Another guy had one and it did that and the air intake was blocked from road dirt and the intake holes were small- dont take much to block them.......
Here's you some math to "Cacka lack" on: There are 3,233 miles of interstate highway in Texas. Just for fun, let's say that all of those miles are 10 lanes wide. That may get you some comments to go along with those 700,000 trucks. Have good days! PS: All brokers are trustworthy.
