I have little bit confusion plzz help...IgA is a antibody but that can produce repones in innate immunity and innate immunity is nonspecific ..but antibody produce specific for specific pathogen so how IgA produce and work in innate immunity
For this you have to study mucosal immunity in detail. IgA antibodies play major role in protection of mucosal surfaces. Their role is to bind to microbes over there and prevent them from binding to epithelial lining of intestines. Mechanisms are not clear, but the production of IgA at mucosal surfaces is non-specific. It is not dependent on T cells.
