She is not from a small town, these are suburbs of the capital Warsaw. I think there is a difference if someone is from a village in Wyoming or from Huntington Beach California next to LA. But maybe "a girl from small town" sounds better.

I'm of Polish heritage and has rooted for all the way. However, she barely won the '23 French Open. Being a social tennis player myself, my constructive would be for her to work on improving her first serves and come to the net. Her game although quite good is mostly from the baseline. Muchacova has an all round better varied game, imho.
In tennis they don't judge you from diversity nor beauty of your game. You have to be effective. Światek was, so she was better. In tennis more effective (than your opponent) means better 🤷♀️ No matter how beautifully you play - if it doesn't give you the victory, it means nothing (and I mean nothing. People wouldn't remember you since you don't win). Muchova is also a couple years older. Hope that Świątek at her age will be able to play better than nowadays 😬
In the French Open Iga had a low percentage of successful first serves and she rarely came to the net. If you watch Alcaraz, he has it all...powerful baseline game, great serves and very good at net. Iga needs to work on net game and first serves in.
@@gailobrycki2978 even Alcaras has all those tools ,he is loosing recently more games then this “not good player Iga”.I realized that some lobbyists forcing some players not because of their greatness but because they fit into narrative which media try to sell to the public. Many times it is not healthy way to shape those young minds. This type of carrier are not to long and finishing without happy ending/Sharapova , Ossaka.The best champions stay true to their values no matter what.

If you mean an accomplishment none of the so-called tennis legends or any other player has accomplished, she has one: the first tennis player, male or female, to win the first three Masters 1000 tournaments of the year.
Iga is good and soared to her personal new height, not unparalleled heights. Not long ago, about 2 years, Iga had no chance against Ashleigh. Fortunate for Iga and the rest of the female tennis pros, Ashleigh retired. Congrats to Iga winning her 3rd FO in 2023 but that happened in the absence of Elena, the player who owns Iga.
Rybakina or no other player owns 1GA GIGA!. RYBAKINA does not come close to 1GA having 4 GRAND SLAMS. She was injured playing twice with Rybakina. She cannot always win and so does Rybakina or Sabalenka. This is tennis but what counts is BIG POINTS, 14 titles including 4 GS at age of 22. Absolutely AMAZING !Both Sabalenka and Rybakina are older and just starting to present well on court. STILL 1GA IS THE QUEEN. @@elwiraludwikowska9576 No one disputes Iga won more titles than Elena but their h/h competition stats are very much in favor of Elena. You must know that Iga also met Elena before they turned pro. That didn't end well for Iga either. Therefore, for now, the conclusion is Elena owns Iga. I am not sure if Iga will be able to figure this out. Perhaps another year or 2.
@@benthekeeshond545 You're conclution is retarded... look at the score in their last match, Iga easiely won 1st set & second Rybakina won in tiebreak & then Iga got her injury, how is it owning Iga? Iga would have won in the third set most likely like she usually does in close games, you're delustional Ryba fanboy. Rybakina was only clearly better in hard court part of the season when Iga was clearly in bad shape. I think Iga has some mental problems against Rybakina but she's clearly a better tennis player overall as you can see in their results & she only needs to work on her mental game against the Russian (born in Moscow)
Iga lost to Barty when she was a beginner tennis player on the tour. It's nonsense to use these matches as examples. Rybakina is a much worse tennis player than Iga on clay.
