Yeah, Gauff kept the double faults to a minimum and saved numerous break chances. But you can't keep giving the best player on tour more break chances and not convert more of your own when yr opponent leads the tour in service points won %.

Iga has learnt to put a bad shot to the back of her mind, not letting it affect her in her next shot selection. You can see it in her facial and body expression.
10-1 is crazy. The issue is Coco seems to have accepted that Iga is better and doesn't have the right mindset. Even if you don't have the game to beat your opponent, you can still get into their head, like Djokovic or Lendl have shown. You need someone with a strong, fiery personality who can disrupt and annoy Iga, and someone like Andreeva in 2-3 years seems much more capable of doing that than Coco at this point.
While Coco played pretty well, Igs is just on another level right now. With Danielle I felt she had a chance if she just was a little less nervous. Too many unforced errors against Sabalenka that really killed her chances. I think Iga on current form is the clear favorite in the Final.
Great fight from Gauff! This is the match where you can see where Gauff’s technique breaks down. She doesn’t completely ground and use her legs and racquet when she doesn’t have time. She needs to get better at her timing of balls in rallies so she can have control rather than let others control. That’s one thing I’ve noticed when she plays bigger hitters and deep hitters. She seems late a lot of the time
Clay is Gauff's worst surface because raw power alone can't win on that surface. One needs to know how to slide on clay and employ tactical skills, not just attack.
Coco keep improving. Gauff played really well and I think the most competitive on clay against Iga. It was a high quality match. She needs to improve her serve and forehand then she will have a chance to win against the no.1 again.
Iga Swiatek is Agnieszka Radwanska, but much more forceful in her game than Radwanska herself. Let me explain, she has Radwanska's intelligence on where to put each ball, but she comes with a big plus, she hits the ball harder. IMHO!
Iga's foot work is insanely good. She is the best in the women's game to date with her preparation and perfect balanced footwork. On slow clay she should be impossible to beat. I don't know why these players play so fast to keep up with her, they should do what Ashley Barty did... slow low slices all day then rip the forehand wide...to the backhand. Coco needs a new coach or strategy or both. No way she's beating Iga without something new. If there were ever competitors who had each others number, it's these two. And right now it's completely one-sided.

Against Iga you literally have to attack every single ball full power and try to blast her off the court. The game Coco tried to play today is impossible against Iga. Nobody plays top spin like her. The only way to unable her to do her game is blasting her off the court and staying extremely low on your knees .

Once she gets the serve ironed out and improved, as she has with her forehand errors, Gauff should be an even bigger force than she already is, and a top 3 favorite at most all 1000s, majors, and WTF Finals events. But Swiatek has played like the #1 seed should for most all this tournament. She's relentless in her desire and efforts to improve.

Her serve used to be better but I don’t know why and how they broke it. Her backhand is very good, not sure if a weapon but that’s her winning shot. She needs to add something else to her game, not sure if it’ll be net play or what else she can do but she needs to change her tactics because she will keep losing to Iga. Iga does everything a bit better than Coco, some things a lot better (forehand).
