@@jonfreeman9682 It was a little over an hour, but okay. It was only ever going to be interesting if it was Rybakina or Sabalenka on the other side of the net. Once it was a lower ranked player it was always going to be a one sided match.

For me, Iga is still able to win on any court surface other than Roland Garros. She has proved it at the US Open in 2022. Yeah...only time will tell sooner or later

Topspin gives you more of a leeway for keeping the ball on court. Flat shots have to be more precise. Iga has to have strength to snap the racket the way she does. Iga fine tunes her game, I recall a couple of months ago how she was experimenting with her serve with that hesitation at the top of her swing, she went back to the lab and reworked a different approach to success. What is it not to like about her Iga? She handles the few losses with grace and the many wins with the same.

It's safe to say Iga is the best athlete Poland has ever produced. Also, I have zero doubt she will surpass Sharapova, Hingis, Clijsters, Henin, and may beat Evert's RG slam total.

It's not the matter of "confidence on grass". It's the matter of getting enough miles on grass in because there are simply next to no grass Tennis courts in Poland to train on and she's been in the limelight for only what... 3 years so far (?). Before that, all the training facilities across Europe weren't available for her to train on. Just give her a few years and she'll start to dominate on that surface as well.

Really? What does it have to do with Poland? Did Bjorn Borg win Wimbledon so many times b/c they have lots of grass courts in Sweden to practise on? No, they have none. And he never won US Open and AO but he's still considered one of the tennis greats. So Iga doesn't have to beat everyone everywhere either. Don't be so greedy!!
