Iga won Junior Wimbledon in 2018 so she can do it again. She has just pulled out of the Berlin Open and I'm sure she's training on grass. Iga needs a break and she attended Taylor Swift's concert in England. She only has to advance to quarter final to protect her WTA ranking points. Regardless her results in Wimbledon she will continue being #1 in WTA rankings. She's been #1 for 107 weeks. What an amazing young woman. All Polish people in the world are so proud of her. It's nice and optimistic what you said about Iga. However, do not forget that Iga really dreams of a medal at the Olympic tournament, which will also take place at Roland Garros. If she could do that, it would be unique. Winning Wimbledon, in this context, would be superhuman. Let's be more modest in our wishes. It will be better for our health 😉

It all about quick feets , serv and returns. Nadal won twice, so can Iga being ready in these 3 departments. So Jazda Iga. You can do it!

John, well said and I'm all in with what you brought to the table. In a curious way there is going to be something which favors Iga in a way that may surprise a lot of people. As great as she is she will be the UNDERDOG in some of her matches and if I was a player across the court from her I would be very worried. The pressure for her to win at Wimbledon will not bring her pain. Rather, she will relish the excitement of playing each match and playing to the best of her abilities and let the chips fall where they may. Key to her success? Her second serve must vary (location, bounce, speed) otherwise many points will end with return of serve.

If she has similar draw like last year, she can make it to the finals easily. Let's be real, she should win last year against Svitolina. It was probably her worst and most painfull loss up to date. And in finals she can meet Saba/Ryba and she will probably not be favourite in this match up. But Iga in finals is different Iga, We all know that. Players she would like to avoid in her half IMO are: Ostapenko, Ons Jabeur (ofc she has great h2h against her, but Ons is great on grass), Collins (if still in form), Kerber (especially if they meet in early rounds), Osaka, Andreescu, Krejcikova (if she catches some form), Keys. And of course Sabalenka and Rybakina, but it's mathematically impossible that she can have both of them in her half. Players she would love in her half: Coco, Voundrousova (her advantages of being lefty that work against other players will not work against Iga), Sakkari, Svitolina (she looks for that revenge, I'm sure), Andreeva (she will simply outpower her).

Sabalenka as new #3 will be in the top half of the draw with Sabalenka. Her H2H makes her favored to beat Sabalenka, God willing. We might just see Iga take this tournament. Her momentum ought to carry her through.
