it is a special genre of igbo music especially created for royalties; kings only. its a masculine music for egalitarianism. that is why it is mendacious and deliberately slow. it is danced with gait and pomp and pageantry. the youthful version is called egwu ogene. all the wordings are praises for the big man in question
