For these questions try to understand the problem requirements first…. then break the problem with to subproblem then solve each problems.. correct me if I’m wrong..great explanation btw😊
@@awab1605 yea that's what I told myself too. But last year, our final exams were canceled cuz of riots in the country and they took Mark's from this exam. I'm just scared that'll happen again
excuse me sir, for pseudocode 15 mark questions even when they say "you may assume the variables or constants have already been declared" do you still have to declare?
it says you do not need to initialise the data in the array so for Python, do I need to write studentname = [ ] and student mark= [ ]? My exam is tomorrow so a quick reply would me helpful
yes you can. it says there "you must use pseudocode or program code" in the second last line of the question. but i would recommend for this question to use pseudocode because you're asked to make use of 2D arrays and 2D arrays are much easier applied in pseudocode (imo) but you can choose whatever! hope this helps
@@mango101_9 nah making a 2D array in python is just a list in a list + I don't have to make a limit to it. All i have to do is just List = [ [x], [x] ]
@@mrbulmerslearningzoneThe comment above the python code starting minutes number 10, says declaring variables. Don't get me wrong, you are really doing a great job and we all got little flows here and there
Sir doesn’t the inner loop only take account the first subject for the student and not every subject, as after it calculates the student mark [0][0] the program goes back up to the outer loop and index is incremented by 1, then the inner loop is also incremented by 1 so it becomes student mark [1][1]?
First the inner loop iterates through all the subjects for the first student . When the inner loop has iterated through the subjects , then the outer loop is incremented and the process continues for the second student
I feel like if you know you are getting the other questions correct don’t worry about the 15 mark ( I’m not saying don’t study for it ofc study for it as much u can). If u can get every other mark then you’ll be fine, and I think you’ll be able to get at least 10 marks for the 15 marker which isn’t bad at all
For Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science students must have experience of using a high-level programming language, such as Visual Basic, Pascal/Delphi or Python…but this is chosen by the school.
@@mrbulmerslearningzone hey since the section B is now worth 60 marks can you make a video on the type of questions coming up in that since grades will depend on that
Take a look at my latest video… it talks through the markscheme and why I think it is useful declare everything first…you do pick up marks for using meaningful names for the variables and constants, so I do recommend writing them at the beginning
my exam is tomorrow !! will update how it went!! >3< edit: hi mrblumer, my exam was pretty good!! i ended up solving half of the unseen scenario question bcz u didnt had much time left, but at least i did something. but i wanna say thank you teacher for teaching us, take care

Sort the declaring of your Arrays, constants and variables and then thing about what else you need…and yes, you can do the same thing with previous ‘pre-release’ questions
@@mrbulmerslearningzone I was hoping to get a question similar to this one but for some reason our school made it a 20 mark question and I got 14 but I could’ve done much better
