@@shivareddy9340you take the 2nd digit of the number they give you next to your grade(pum). Eg, if you got 95 pum, you take 5. Then, you go to the grade threshold table and check how big you grade band is. For example, the total weighted marks thay ask your papers of your subject add up to us 160, and A* threshold is 140, it means the A* band is 20 marks big. Now you got 95 pum(which is A*), so you took 5. Divide that number by 10, giving 0.5. multiply width of the band by this number, so 20x0.5=10. Now, add that to the lower bound, which is 140, giving you a final score of 150. That is the weighted marks you have recieved.

@its.shanti
@its.shanti Год назад
@@hanan4081 i use the syllabus to study for physics.l follow each guideline on the syllabus and instructions until l have covered all of them on a certain topic. It quite helps than just studying blindly because you might miss some of the specifications, not all teachers on youtube follow through the syllabus.. Yeah the wording can be tricky sometimes. I dont really know what l can say but l think when you attempt a question you have to underline the key words and focus on them and use your knowledge of what they usually require when they give you such key words and measurements. Not sure if l really explained that part well but if you keep revising multiple past papers you will get used to the language. Its just the same language over and over but in different papers. :)

Thanks very much for adding a very useful summary of the new topic for IGCSE Physics 2023 exams. But I have to disagree with your explanation of what causes the seasonal temperature changes between summer and winter. The differences in the distances between sun and the northern hemisphere vs. southern hemisphere is insignificant, and is NOT the main factor. Another common misconception (but not in your video) is that the elliptical orbit of the earth (147 x 10^6 km at perihelion vs. 152 x 10^6 km at aphelion) is a cause. This 3% difference is insignificant, compared with the true causes. The actual cause of seasonal temperature changes is the different incident angles of the sun's rays striking the northern hemisphere vs. the southern hemisphere, because of the tilted axis of the earth as it orbits the sun. This causes the i.r. radiation energy to spread out over a larger area on the earth's surface in winter, compared to a smaller area in summer. (Experiment: shine a narrow beam flashlight onto a piece of paper perpendicularly vs. at an angle. Note the difference in how the same light energy spreads out over the different areas.) Another causation factor is that the i.r. rays hit the surface for a shorter time, during the shorter daytime hours of winter. So average daily temperatures are less in winter. But overall I appreciate your contribution to this new area for IGCSE Physics. Thanks!
