"The Passenger" is a song written by Iggy Pop and Ricky Gardiner.
Pop said "The Passenger" was partly inspired by touring with David Bowie: "I'd been riding around North America and Europe in David's car ad infinitum. I didn't have a driver's licence or a vehicle"

Iggy Pop is one of the persons of my life. Therefore I really like him. - THNX 4 uploading all these nice Photos (and the VIDEO)... :) Iggy is the "so much better performer" and David Bowie is the "so much better commercial" that I can't believe... He so much outperforms David Bowie, that you surely will not believe.
