Don't forget the 70s were mainly very conservative, at the same time there was way more space for exploration so when Iggy got TV exposure they didn't know what hit them. You can say that Pop was doggystylin mundanity, drugs were just a natural ingredient in the fight against boredom. We sure as fuck can use some culture against mundanity again in 2020.
